This review sums up how I feel about pretty much all bethesda games.

Engaging world, lack luster main story, fun side missions. Awful combat and clunky interface which usually is worth waiting for a mod to fix.

I sunk many many hours in to every one of their games, they are addicting, but there is never a fight or a story twist that Ill remember forever or want to talk about. It's just more fun than doing nothing for many hours. I hope they change their engine, create a game with a modern easy to use ui and great combat next time, they are so close to be great.

All is of course my opinion, the people that love fallout, great for you!

Sounds like this guy isnt into the first person style they changed the series into.. I was upset at first but after playing it, i was fine.. I doubt this game deserves a 7.5 but everyone has their own opinion..

Fallout 4 is the same general game Bethesda has been releasing since Oblivion.

It uses the same general engine that Skyrim used.

Fallout 4 will be hugely popular with DLC and mods for 3-5 years.

Next stop: Elder Scrolls 6

I guess it never occurs to some gamers that gameplay is more important than a massive world for you to explore. Skyrim is praised for its huge world filled with quests but it's clunky combat is never praised.

I see no reason that any rpg can't do both in 2015.

I've never played a Fallout game since it's not my "type" of game, but I'm aware of their greatness.

Im affraid to get this game. I fell for all the goty-hype that Fallout 3 got, but couldn't finnish it. Didn't like how the world felt more like boxed in areas instead och open world and the combat was Super clunky.. The graphics was rather off putting as well.

Now the hype is getting to me again, and im affraid i will be dissapointed again. Hmmm..

Bring back freedom with magic (even if exploitable it's fun). Bring back utterly bizarre and memorable characters (starfield felt like theirs were designed by a committee of wet blankets). Bring back actual consequential player choice ie different classes and guilds/houses/etc that can't all be done in the one playthrough. And update or replace that damn engine for more seamless streaming/traversal so dungeons, towns and buildings aren't segmented separate levels. And for the love of god don't dare do that shitty dialog wheel and voiced player again

First of all, they should replace Todd Howard for that to happen.

Starfield could have become an (Xbox) megaseller and critically acclaimed milestone in the Sci-Fi genre.

I would have never let them work with CreationEngine 2 for that, but scrapped it completely.

the Fallout 4 Anniversary edition is a JOKE.. way too expensive.. and its broken.. Bethesda is a joke now..
