Minorities are more likely than whites to be passionate about virtual reality. And despite the attention paid to Facebook-owned Oculus in the media, Sony’s PlayStation VR is the most recognized brand.
These are some of the conclusions from a wide-ranging survey of consumer expectations and preferences about virtual reality that will be released Tuesday by Greenlight VR, a virtual reality analysis and research firm, and Touchstone Research, which conducts online market studies. Fast Company was given exclusive advance access to the data.
A classic genre takes on new life in VR, so here's a rundown of the best VR platformer games available in 2026.
Can’t be a good list without astro bot and moss and moss book 2 they are the cream of the crop.
If his choices are as good as those 3 games then I gotta try the rest of his list
VR is a medium perfect for adventuring through new lands, so here's some of the best VR Adventure Games available in 2026.
Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.
I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

Skyworld: Kingdom Brawl, one of the best RTS card battlers in VR is shutting down this July, developer Vertigo Games has confirmed.
Ummm, it's badass? It's an untapped section of so many things? Gaming, TV, Concerts, Chat, Vacation, Education, ect? Oh I forgot to throw in Porn.
I'm American and a minority as the majority puts it. and here's what I think:
It WORKS. Even though my interest will be in PSVR,they ALL work.Oculous and Vive work.Developers, journalists and gamers say it WORKS because they have TRIED it. No smoke and mirrors.no silver ponchos and 500 million in PR marketing.wiimote wasn't accurate and kinect wasn't accurate.Wii was cool for what it introduced as well as kinect is cool for it's media functions. But for all around gaming they BLOW.and they are not immersive.
Each VR unit I mentioned above WORK and are ACCURATE.Oculous has many games you can try right NOW if you have the money and right setup.and that's before its official release. Vive has the backing of Valve and millions of potential Steam users.PSVR has the backing of Sony and it's awesome World Wide Studios, second and third parties. And that's just games.
Movies, commercials, art, scienc e,sports, shopping, music, instru c tional teaching, travel, communication, games, helping curing phobias medically.... Just...just too many ways that VR can benefit.
Its not about how UNCOOL you look to your friends with it on.Maybe they're not your FRIENDS.it's not about wearing it ALL the time. It's OPTIONAL just like motion control, voice control,3D,etc.it's not to replace anything but to add to it.if you're scared of getting robbed with it on, that's your fault for poor security at your house. Can't wear it, then don't wear sunglasses, glasses, goggles for swimming, etc.
I've been gaming for over 35 years since I was 7. Eventually you get tired of just looking at the TV and want to be more immersed and part of the action. VR has a chance of doing that. But it won't stop me from going back and playing contra, streets of rage, super metroid,Skies of Arcadia, devil may cry(the real one)nfl2k,itagakis ninja gaiden, demon souls, etc.
It's OPTIONAL and just another WAY to play.
Interesting read. I would definitely like to try out VR before possibly jumping in. Besides gaming, I'm interested in possible therapeutic, educational, and live sports events functions. Would I be able to sit behind home plate at Fenway? Can I watch a boxing match at ringside? Can it simulate walking across a bridge or checking out famous art museums? There could be significant potential with this technology and I'm interested if it can and will deliver.
PSVR is day one for me, I have been around VR since 1990s , a friend of mine worked at a VR company and the time is finally here that technology is doing what we wanted 20+ years ago.
