Arrowhead game studious has announced that their twin stick shooter Helldivers will come to PC through Steam.

If you can draw yourself away from Helldivers 2, you can pick up the first game for less than $20 right now, but you’ll need to be quick.

In the update players will receive Proving Grounds and an improve loadout system.

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "Competing with other players online is ingrained into the gaming ecosystem these days, with every hardware manufacturer (even the previously resistant Nintendo) offering ways to connect to others over the internet to engage in multiplayer. Ever since SEGA blazed a trail with their gone-too-soon Dreamcast and titles such as Chu Chu Rocket and Phantasy Star Online, the console landscape changed towards embracing the internet – solidified further by Microsoft’s Xbox initiative in 2001.
On handhelds, inroads into online gaming were slower, but with the advent of Sony’s PSP in 2005 that changed again and suddenly portable experiences were offered that could also connect with other players across the world. This was refined further with their next-generation handheld the PlayStation Vita, which offered improvements like easily accessible friends lists, system-based party chat, alongside some of the best portable online games that were available at the time of its release."
Killzone Mercenary has spectacular gameplay and great mp. Underrated game.
Helldivers was pretty awesome to have on Vita.
NFS MW worked well on Vita.
And the publisher of this game on steam is "Playstation Mobile Inc."
Is this non EX for PlayStation?
Will be streaming to my Xbox One
playstation mobile: is the head publishing arm from the development of durring the xperia play development platform that allowed code once release on the playstation mobile digital + playstation vita digital that ran on the playstation mobile platform. thus for example: unity 3D digital released games that are able to code for the playstation mobile platform and since playstation mobile ran on Android & there was a Playstation mobile app that runs on playstation vita & playstation tv..those games made are published under the playstation mobile publishing arm.
back when psvita was still called NGP you could see where sony built that new publishing section so as to make it a section for those games made for that development sdk & development environment.
if you look @ the Android Playstore you can see where not just releasing games just to steam also....R&C games was also released on the google playstore.
this by no means = Sony going 3rd party, or more and more PS4 games are going to be heading to PC also, no Playstation Mobile publishing arm does not work that way..its not made as a main PS4 publishing arm.
if people thinking it is, they are very sadly mistaken.
its made for mainly Mobile cross platform that can be made to run on multiple platforms by core, but being console exclusive 1st every thing else later. does not of course = it will go to other platforms, it just means its open to "maybe" depends on the contracted deals..its mainly 3rd party to
playstation deals that are mainly app development of Mobile 1st developments.
