For example Super Mario bros has different levels that you can go to but the ending is always the same... you beat bowser and toad will flip you off and say "The princess is in another castle". And we still love the game. Because it's what it's.
I think there's a place for both types of games. We may have seen WiLD, No Man's Sky and Dreams at PGW, but we also saw Detroit which is at the opposite end of the spectrum.
