Sony Doing 'execellent job reaching out to indie VR devs' Says Vanguard V Studio

VRFocus reports on Justin Moravetz, developer of the upcoming Vanguard V, stating that Sony is doing an 'excellent job' with indie VR devs.

Glad to hear this. Indie companies have ideas some big aaa companies don't have. Even if it's simple, it could end up being incredibly good (Rocket league-No man's sky)

Rocket League definitely falls under the "simple but good" category.

No Man's Sky? eeehhhh...I don't think that one can be filed under "simple" in any fashion lol.

OT: In the case of indie VR, it is definitely good they are reaching out. On top of "the more ideas, the better" kind of approach to trying out a newer experience, smaller studios can take more of a gamble. If Sony provides any backing or assistance, even easier to gamble. The small studios have the majority of VR experiences out there right now (Rift compatible titles, & even GearVR). Given already produced and largely tested titles already exist, that gives the opening salvo of PSVR games a nice bump as devs have already tuned their games and now they get one VR hardware version and one target platform to optimize on. If Sony didn't reach out and tap into this market/talent, then the dearth of content PSVR would have when launched would kill it before it even had a chance to start. They are doing the right thing in ensuring a stream of content continually comes to the device to keep buyers interested and enticed.

I've been playing more and more indies: Hardcore gaming, Great games, Innovation, lots of fun. No microtransactions BS, No big patches downloads, no DLC BS, no unfinished products

This is great news, I think indie studios could very well be the key to VR's potential. With them more likely to take risks on that something "cool" should hopefully see some real innovation for the device which AAA publishers won't gamble on.

more indies for the ps4.... yay
