Wild on PS4 is an Open-World Game with Startling Possibility

Earlier this week in Paris, famed game creator Michel Ancel presented the upcoming open world Wild with a deep-set grin. His enthusiasm and passion for the project echo in Wild’s dizzying vistas, and his team’s purpose is clear: empower players to traverse a beautiful, dangerous world. Let them attune with the forces of nature. And grant them dominion over animals of all shapes and sizes.

Yep, loving the RPG like elements where you get tattoos of all that you have learned.

sullynathan3732d ago

I'm digging this game. I really liked what I saw.

PreAtaric3732d ago

Very cool looking. Hope it won't be too long before we can play it but since he said it was still very early in development I'm guessing it will be a year at the very least, and probably longer.

It was first shown off in 2014, then went silent. I've waited patiently for over a year to see it again with little to no word on it, if it takes another 2-3 years to come out, I can wait that long. A well respected dev like that is worthy of my patience and I rather they take their time than rush it, which it appears theyve been doing :)

If it does come out in a year or two, I'll be pleasently surprised. I remember a lot of people being impressed by it in 2014, but any time I brought it up again to those people in conversation, they had no idea what I was talking about.Hopefully people won't forget about it again :)

*edit*

N4G mucked up, this was supposed to be in response, somewhat, to @preAtaric

_-EDMIX-_3732d ago

Agreed. It would be nice to get it next year, but I'm not expecting that.

PreAtaric3732d ago

Oh yeah, I won't lose interest or anything. I'm still looking forward to The Last Guardian, so I'm definitely not the short attention span type. They should take their time and deliver the best game possible.

UserNameIsNotTaken3732d ago

This game is my pick for the best showing in PGW. :3

robtion3732d ago

Wild, Nier, and Detroit all look amazing. Hard to pick at this stage.

Shame, it looked interesting at the time

Agent75341d ago

Shame, but the same old type of game from Sony.

S2Killinit341d ago (Edited 341d ago )

You mean masterpiece

Christopher341d ago (Edited 341d ago )

A MP open world game the size of an actual continent where you can control animals or turn into them? Yeah. Same old Sony game. /s

RedDevils340d ago

You mean Tokyo jungle, that game was fun.

XiNatsuDragnel343d ago

Very shameful I hope ubisoft if they go bankrupt should get there servers and release the files online since by that time they'll be defunct

Ristul341d ago

I was hyped for the game when they showed the first trailers, to bad it didnt make it.

Agent75341d ago

That's the thing with Sony, they keep knocking out these 'running about' games. I thought Sony would've released Driveclub on PS5 with extra tracks and with VR. A new Motorstorm didn't surface on PS4 or even a Motorstorm collection as with Uncharted and God of War. Wild probably would've been a top game and the chances of Sony going back to it is probably never going to happen. The Getaway 3 was canned on PS3, although the first game was flawed and the sequel took a graphics downgrade and was tragic. Sony are clinically obsessed with this genre.

lucasnooker341d ago

I loved the getaway part 1. It’s one of my favourite ps2 titles and I revisit it from time to time. Great plot, interesting characters, unique mechanics. Sure it’s a little clunky and dated to today’s standards but there’s no other game quite like it.

Giga_Gaia341d ago

I am more disapointed about Deep Down. Wild didn't interest me at all.

Lesson learned - Don't work with Ubi

Blaze929401d ago

Ehhh, the same one that was making team members cry and him calling them worthless? Don't work with Ancel

isarai402d ago

Was wondering what happened to this game, seems interesting but whateves 🤷‍♂️

TheCaptainKuchiki401d ago (Edited 401d ago )

I was so disappointed that this game died.
But Ancel himself isn't entirely clean....
He has an habit of not finishing games.

RaiderNation401d ago

Man there's quite a long line forming of canceled/dormant 3rd party projects for PlayStation that never came out...

Deep Down
Wild
Little Devil Inside
Pragmata
Silent Hills

And I know there's more!

Teams that score the most goals also miss the most shots.

Tacoboto401d ago

That's just how a business person massages "inefficiency" to their boss.

Gameseeker_Frampt401d ago (Edited 401d ago )

"Teams that score the most goals also miss the most shots."

That is not how any of that works, but nice attempt at deflecting. In your mind, the Portland Trail Blazers must be an amazing team this year since they hold 3 of the top 5 spots for most shots missed in a game.

thorstein401d ago (Edited 401d ago )

Last night the Toronto Maple Leafs took 14 shots and the NJ Devils took 38.

Toronto won 2-1 proving that the quality of shots is far more important than the quantity.

Lol depends on what sport I guess. Im Football/Soccer, its true.

Knushwood Butt401d ago

It's better to try and fail than not try at all.

That's a nice one, but if you work for a crappy company then;

It's better to try and fail than not try at all.
However, if you fail, expect a witch-hunt and then to be thrown under the bus. Oh, and leadership isn't going to do anything to try and address the root-causes of the issues, as they'll be too busy trying to tick boxes, or with the next witch-hunt, which will come along very soon.

S2Killinit400d ago (Edited 400d ago )

Im sure none of you believe Sony is not about quality. Pretty sure their domination speaks for the quality of their products.

Tacoboto400d ago

Concord. Horizon Horizon Horizon. TLOU Part 1 PC at launch.

I don't know about the others but i have hope for Little Devil. It'll still come

Notellin401d ago

Knights of the Old Republic remake should have been on this list.

Agent75341d ago

You look at game pricing this gen, some of these games will flop. £70 for PS5 games, Sony raised the price of PS4 games, all these years on, the PS4 is still out there, PS5 was released too early and now we're soon heading for PS6. It staggers me that Sony and Microsoft can't see that gaming is heading for a crash.

I was really stoked for this. I liked that giant Snake-lady god or whatever it was. It looked like it had some great art direction.
