Last year marked the release of Assassins Creed: Unity, a game plagued with bugs across a slew of platforms. Bugs ranged from falling through floors to zombie like models delivering muted dialogue. The game received decent scores across the board, but regular consumers had different stories to tell.
History is repeating itself on a smaller scale this year.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate recently got a 60 FPS update, allowing the game to run at 4K and 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series S|X.
It is amazing what's available. Blue Dragon. Binary Domain. AVP. Chaos Theory. Lots of gems to be had.
There is no re-start option (that I can find). Since I've already finished the story years ago, I can't re-start it to check the new update.

AC Unity next Please! despite the technical issues it was a good game even though it was too ambitious for PS4 and Xbox One the graphics hold up well. I would love to see it on PS5 and Xbox Series Consoles
YES, update Unity to 4K 60! I loved the French revolution setting, I even enjoyed playing CO-OP online, its too bad that they removed it from Syndicate, but the incredibly negative reaction from Unity (mostly because it was rushed out 4 - 6 months too soon), made Ubisoft think we didn't want the mode to come back.
Is Syndicate any good? I own them all since they end up in the bargain bin but I haven’t played one through since Black Flag
Personally, this is a "Not Bad" grade. The gang warfare part is fun. You should give it a go since you already own it.
The combat is fun, the setting is great and the characters are pretty good, I'd put it up just below black flag.
If you've read my comments here before, you know damn well that I'm always quick to mock Ubisoft, but in this case, its good news. Glad to see that Syndicate went from being almost broken on PS5 BC, to receiving a free 60 FPS update patch.
While this game did have grind elements, and skill trees, it wasn't exhaustively grindy like the later games would end up being. The London setting was amazing, too, and the soundtrack by Austin Wintory was fantastic. I really liked playing as a brother and sister duo as well.
It was a good game, and the last one in the series I truly enjoyed.
Why are the patch sizes so different between Xbox Series and PlayStation 5? Its a 35 GBs difference.

The PS5 Pro patch was only 171 MBs, so its even smaller than Ubisoft's claim of 0.75 GB.
Some people hypothesized that the PlayStation exclusive content (Darwin and Dickens missions) would be coming to Xbox for the first time with the new patch, but it wasn't added. A patch this large is clearly redownloading the entire game all over again, the dev team made that choice for a reason, we just don't know what that reason is.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate is free on PC when you have a Ubisoft Connect account until December 6th, 2023.
I loved Syndicate! I played this game mostly as Evie because of her stealth abilities and loved using a cane sword.
I'm assuming this is more of Assassin's Creed inherent glitchyness as compared to Unity's super catastrophe.
and the sky is blue and water is wet. what else do you expect from ubisoft? a bug free game? yeah that'll happen when hell freezes over.

The biggest glitch that i've had was while in the train i changed outfits and got a blank screen with the save icon on the right side of the screen and i had to turn off the console completely
