Now to decide what Pipboy Edition to cancel...the Xbox One version or the PS4

Times running out :|

I need to decide

ConorGames3855d ago

I think the Xbox version is getting mod support first, so maybe that's the one to go with.

-Foxtrot3855d ago

I was thinking about that but then again it will come to the PS4 eventually.

I just wish they would show footage running on both consoles.

Axonometri3855d ago (Edited 3855d ago )

No PC Foxtrot? I'd suggest that for Mod interest if you have one.

-Foxtrot3855d ago

My PC is terrible.

Plus because of what I'm like I always would end up wasting my money everytime some new hardware came out so I would be constantly upgrading

One day I'll get a good gaming computer

xPhearR3dx3854d ago

@Foxtrot

Pretty much all tech is considered outdated in 6 months or less due to how fast technology gets better and released. You could easy equip yourself with a GTX 970, 8GB of RAM and a decent i5 CPU and be set for quite a long time in terms of PC gaming being comparable to consoles. Just sayin.

Dasteru3854d ago

@xPhearR3dx:

Technically outdated but still very much useable. My GTX 470 / Phenom II 965 build lasted around 5.5 years and was still running 95% of games med-high, 1080p 40-45fps. The other 5% were low-med 1080p 30fps. Was planning on keeping it going till the end of 2016, when i was going to do a full rebuild once pascal came out. 470 crapped out 2 days ago though so i ended up getting a 750 ti. Full rebuild put off till end of 2017 now.

akurtz3855d ago

if you think about it, the creation kit isnt coming to pc till early 2016 and those mods will take alittle time to appear on xbox later in the year and ps4 is getting support the same year so there isnt much of a gap, id go with ps4 which should be a bit superior in terms of visuals.

@ocsta

I wasn't much of a fan of fallout NV or 3, but there is potential because we've entered a new gen. I didn't dislike the game, but that was last gen at 720p on a 1080p tv. Now the devs have more to work with, i think i'm more likely to purchase. It's a big thing the main character will have a voice.

cfc833855d ago

Doesn't matter. Both are 1080/30. Got both consoles, and if i get this game it will probably be on xb1.

Ocsta3854d ago

IF you get it? No interest in one of the best games ever made then? That must suck.

SlightlyRetarted3854d ago

There can be other differences between them than resolution and frame rate...

Automatic793855d ago (Edited 3855d ago )

Foxtrot you already have your mind made up. Lol Why ask? I am going with Xbox One version, mod support and Back compatible Fallout 3.

-Foxtrot3855d ago

Oh have I despite buying all past Bethesda games for my Xbox/Xbox 360

But hey you would know...since you obviously know me so darn well

S-T-F-U3855d ago

-Foxtrot I would advise you to wait it out. Would you prefer 900p or 1080p :P Haha.

ThePope3854d ago

@STFU

I love that comment. Let me ask you how much did you spend on your TV? I ask because if its less than $2000 within the past 3 years it doesn't matter what you prefer, because the PQ is junk. You might as well have a 720P tv.

Now if you have a 4K TV made by a top brand (costing $2000+) you can talk. But in truth if the TINY difference between 900-1080 really matters you that much you need to get a PC because you won't get top PQ on a console.

S-T-F-U3854d ago

@ThePope

I'm not so sure I agree with you. I wouldn't say it's a TINY difference. I and many other people notice it instantly. There is also the performance of the game, With the PS4 being slightly more powerful than the Xbox One I would imagine it to run slightly better on PS4. As for the mod's.....Well let's face it, they are going to be selective. If you're expecting to see the sort of mod's you will see on the PC version than you are going to be greatly dissapointed.

Regardless it doesn't really affect me anyway as I do my gaming on PC @ 4k these days but I kinda feel bad for these people content with sub 1080p quality. -Foxtrot, again, If I where you I would wait it out and see some performance analysis first so you're getting the better version...

Why not get both and keep one sealed?

Germany73854d ago

I still remember Foxtrot getting mad over the Arkham Knight collector's edition, lol. I hope everything turns out well for you now.

CaulkSlap3854d ago

I wouldn't cancel either considering resale would pay for both and then some.

3854d ago
super66463854d ago

Keep both ;)
Both are 1080p btw, so graphics won't be a deciding factor.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

-Foxtrot183d ago

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder183d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

lukasmain183d ago

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
