32 bit gaming on the way out hopefully?

64 bit made sense if its 8gig for just minimum settings and recommended also not too bad.

Perhaps it's due to its "alpha" nature, but hopefully the beta and the final build will lower that RAM requirement to 4GB

That is very, very unlikely. Consider both current gen systems have 8GBs. 8GB for AAA titles will now be the requirement, they see no reasons to keep scaling down for users.

Either upgrade or don't play. That is like asking a team to make a title always have a PS3 or 360 version....or....or...you could merely upgrade to play said quality lol.

They might be making this title to run up to 8GB and I see no reason for them to make the requirements any lower.

This is needed for PC gaming for high end.

I'm fine with higher RAM requirements a long as it's not due to dev laziness. RAM is cheap right now anyway. You'll probably be able to get 8 GB for under $40 on Black Friday sales.

It's an alpha... to bad I didn't get wolfenstein. Would have loved to participate, I think veterans should have at least a honorable beta code. T.T

8GB minimum ram required : 6GB disk space

Hoffmann3879d ago

fuu. I'll stick to the PS4 version.

Just make sure you don't burn out those rubber joysticks from use. Those controllers don't last.

suli55953879d ago

2 years, daily use of controllers, rubber still intact. Its only people who suck at gaming that get frustrated which leads to sweaty palms, so if you suck at gaming please dont blame the controller

TacoTaru3879d ago

Times sure have changed. I worked on the satellite control software system for DoD and Air Force and we only had 16MB of RAM to work with. Control all military satellites with 16MB but need 8GB to play a game?

barb_wire3879d ago

Really? that's kinda cool actually.

Another flipside, the Lunar Module that landed on the Moon had a whopping 4kb of memory!

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

LG_Fox_Brazil391d ago

That's a pretty fucking great list

__y2jb391d ago (Edited 391d ago )

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.

It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.

Gamingsince1981480d ago

Weird games in general we don't get enough of, we need more games like Katamari and Mr domino, things like that
