Having played the game I do really see the appeal in it and its really solid even it doesn't have a campaign (still disappointed though), However, Get The F*** OUTTA HERE if you're going to put MT's in a game that is only PvP. It's just straight up unfair.

Extra costumes and flair doesn't matter. Better weapons for those that pay more DOES.

Awww come on what's with all this microtransanction bullshit in today's games. Really think about it, the videogame industry is the only business that nickel and dime its consumers. No loyalty program, no rewards program, no coupons, no point rewards program, none of that except the occasional sale. Instead gamers get DLC , microtransanctions, pay to play online (ps4 and xbox one only), etc. The excuse or excuses are inflation, games being expensive to make. Well newsflash, movies/tv shows are more expensive to make than videogames and guess what not only do you get movie sales but also loyalty program, coupons, etc. for your local movie theater. Theme parks also offer coupons, loyalty programs and discounts. Guess what these are businesses too; however, these businesses do not nickel and dime its customers.

I know people have been complaining about Battlefront not having much content but this new Rainbow 6 game must be the most bare-bones AAA game to release this year. £50 game, no campaign(Least Battlefront has a mission mode) £40 season pass, Microtransactions and limited online game modes, something you'd expect to see from a free to play game in terms of content. Crazy.

I don't understand why $60 games need micro transactions. Are companies not making enough profits, or they're just taking advantage of stupid people? I haven't seen micro transactions in $60 games until GTAV did it.
I know, it's an option, but those little cosmetic items could have done unlockables instead of stuck behind a paywall. I want to know why $60 games have this, but devs/publishers aren't giving us a straight answer.

I'd be surprised to hear of a game that doesn't these days.

More journalists need to complain about these issues because companies appear to hate when people call them out on B.S like this and whats even funnier is the paper-thin defense some of them use to try justify it.
Honestly if more articles makes a stink about this practice, especially during pre-order season, it may bring change but it will take time like all good things.

Sadly we are not far from times when for example EA to announce SW Battlefront 3 single player only for 60$ seperate disc from that online one.
Same thing for PSN and Live , it should be for free , but if the money comes fuck it lets rise the bar.
Remastered games are also a rotten pratice, but you can't blame them , like you should not defend people who are wasting money on them , they wake up eventully.

It should now be news for games which don't have microtransactions.

It's sad to such a great franchise amount to nothing more than half a**ed, nickle and diming cash grab. Greed is killing the gaming industry and I don't even game as much in my spare time as I use to because of things like this. The love I had for gaming is not what it use to be and I'm honestly getting more and more turned off from the gaming industry as the years go by. The saddest part about this whole thing is that this can all be stopped in an instant if we all could just get together and stop buying games with these types of practices in them. Finding the solution to this problem is not the hard part. We all know what the solution is.. Stop giving these companies money. The hard part is getting people get together..

Should be a free to play game with microtransactions. It's outdated and offers a basic FPS experience.

Sad to watch such a legendry game get the life sucked out of it.

And that's another game I'll be renting instead of buying. I'v lost count of how many times that's happened this year alone.

But people are gonna buy it, like they will buy Halo in a few days and Tomb Raider, and if Uncharted had micro-transactions they'll buy it too, cause... for some reason.

Hm...depends on the DLC.maps? camos for character and weapon? also depends on how much I like the game. But with halo 5 coming, all these other shooters are gonna have to put on a good show for me,to buy them this year, let alone their DLC. And right now, the thing that vegas has missing, for me, is the R6:vegas style cover system. I would be more enthusiastic for it if it had that one feature.

I was skeptical about R6:Siege after being in the beta (and playing it extensively) but this is pretty much the nail in the coffin.

I was so hoping for a fully fledged campaign, with co-op it would have been amazing but no we have online only.

Its a real kick in the balls for fans of the series, realistically we have been waiting since Rainbow Six Vegas for a true sequel, not the mickey mouse Vegas 1.1 that was Vegas 2, that whole game should have been sold as DLC add on.

Most AAA titles seem to have them these days.. I dont care if theyre there so long as they dont make the game suck w/o them but i dont support the practice.. I dont want devs to get used to doing this so i wont buy season passes or these microtransactions..
