Well, let's see...

2009 would have been the third year of the PS3, which would match up to the upcoming year for the PS4. That year featured Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls and inFamous as the four big titles( in February, October, October again, and May; NOT all pumped into the fall, like you keep complaining that they're not doing now), with three of those being first party.

Next year, which matches up with 2009 for the PS3, will see Uncharted 4, Horizon, and The Last Guardian as the trio of big first party titles releasing for the PS4. Big third party titles (may) include Persona 5, No Man's Sky(if it doesn't make it out this year), World of FF, and Street Fighter V.

Other notables include Ratchet and Clank, Star Ocean 5, Odin Sphere, The Tomorrow Children, and a bunch of other stuff you've thus far dismissed because they're niche.

You seem to have forgotten, man: PlayStation is where niche becomes mainstream. Niche thrives on PlayStation. That's why the console is so preferred, and always has been. Not for one or two blockbuster exclusives. It's not the best of sources, but check how many exclusives on PS3 hit a million or more sales, then see how the libraries of the competition compared.

Considerably more games hit that milestone on PS3 than elsewhere.

And that tradition has continued on the PS4.

Now, if what's been on offer so far hasn't appealed to you much, so be it. But the narrative you put forth- that the console lacks games that appeal to enough people- is a falsehood.

Hell, VGChartz' digital-less list shows eight titles you can't find on XB1 or Wii U that have surpassed a million sales(Until Dawn is noticeably absent, though it's gotta be close or above by now); there are five on XB1, and the Wii U's year advantage grants it eleven.

What is it that you're not getting? What don't you understand? Sony isn't doing anything any differently than what they've always done when it comes to releasing their games; why is it suddenly some precursor to bad things?

And why have you gotten trapped in that "only holidays count" mentality that makes you ignore everything before and after?

Sorry, but I just don't understand how someone's outlook changes so much when they're viewing the same scenery.
