they NEED to bring this gem back man, funniest and the most entertaining game I've ever played on ps2!! in fact I STILL enjoy playing it on my PC to this very day!

on that note, would the next installment take place in a university? imagine having to earn a driving license and stuff like that? DAMN WOULD BE COOL!! I mean high school was amazing but idk what will they add on what they've already done with Bully 1.

time will tell.

You guys just need to let go. Bully 2 is not coming out, Rockstar is way to big of a studio now. They makes games like GTA 5 now and there is no way they will go back from those to a game like Bully.

Same reasoning when Naughty Dog said they wouldnt go back and make like Jak again, they are beyond those type of games.

_-EDMIX-_3883d ago

"Rockstar is way to big of a studio now. They makes games like GTA 5"

Sooooo many thing wrong with your comment, not even funny.

Rockstar is made up of many teams, the team that did GTA5 Rockstar North, never made Bully.

"when Naughty Dog said they wouldnt go back and make like Jak again" Not really, they actually had a Jak 4 planned and had concept art for it, they didn't do it based on not having a good enough idea to bring it back with. Thus...never happened.

You actually don't know if they will make a Bully 2 as we know not of what Rockstar Toronto is doing, the team that did Bully 1 as they Rockstar Vancouver merged to make Rockstar Toronto.

THAT team thus far as just ported GTAV and Max Payne 3 on PC, they very well for years could have been making right now, Bully 2.

Know who makes your games first before making such claims.

Hoffmann3883d ago

If that would really be the case, they could let a different studio make a sequel, just like Naughty Dog was not developing Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.

If Rockstar would be smart they would at least create a nice HD Remaster of Bully.

A BULLY sequel could work without even leaving Bullworth, just set it twenty years into the future with some changes here and there...

mocaak3883d ago

Rockstar needs to release games more frequently.. we got nothing but GTA 5 in last 3 years. They have around 900 people in all their studios. Both San Diego and Toronto should have released games already, it has been so long since we heard anything from them, I don't believe that they all work on GTA. We need Bully 2 and Red Dead 3.

Iceball20003883d ago

Midnight Club, or Manhunt? I'd like a new Manhunt!

_-EDMIX-_3883d ago

?? not really bud. They don't need to rush out games. They have the luxury of having respectable development times.

I mean...are you forgetting GTAV is one of the best selling games of ALL TIME RIGHT NOW? LMFAO!

Let them work in silence, when they have something to show, at least it will be in a more complete form.

For all we know, they have been working on Red Dead 3, Bully 2, Max Payne 4 etc.

Mind you, you don't know what they "should have" released bud, you have zero clue about the games they are developing to some how state they should have been released.

mocaak3883d ago

Releasing games after 9 and 5 years is rushing?

_-EDMIX-_3883d ago

@Mocaak- Sooo confirmed, you know not of development?

Where did you hear for 9 years they've been working on Bully 2?

Where did you hear for 5 years they've been working on Red Dead 3?

LMFAO! I mean..you do know those teams released and worked on many games after Red Dead 2 and Bully right?

Rockstar Toronto formerly Vancouver who made Bully, worked on GTAIV for PC, Max Payne 3 for PC and GTAV for PC.

Rockstar San Diego worked on LA Noire, GTAV and Max Payne 3, ie even if they had Red Dead 3 being worked on, they've yet to hit full 100% development until after GTAV was complete other titles they where helping on were complete as well.

Sooooooooo not sure where you got this strange understanding that those teams were 100% for 9 years and 5 years working on a sequel LMFAO! No buddy, just no.

That is like saying DICE has been working on Star Wars BF for 10 years since that is when the last one launched lol

Its rushing when you factor they've likely yet to come to fully development if you factor what they've been working on.

mocaak3883d ago (Edited 3883d ago )

@_-EDMIX-_

All the games you named are ports or just helping other teams, please come up with a better argument.

_-EDMIX-_3883d ago

@Mocaak- "All the games you named are ports or just helping other teams"

Yes...bud, they still working on other games, thus not doing 100% full development for 9 years or 5 years.

I mean..unless you know they've only been working on those sequels which clearly they haven't been as to why they've been factually documented working on other titles, come up with a better argument.

You don't even know to what degree they've been working on those titles, there whole team could have been working on those ports and assisting on development of those games, they might have had no time to actually really start 100% full development on those sequels bud.

Soooo unless you again have proof all of 9 years and 5 years was spent on ONLY development of Bully 2 and Red Dead 3, "please come up with a better argument"

=)

mocaak3883d ago (Edited 3883d ago )

_-EDMIX-_

When did I even say that they work on those games? All I said is that Vancouver, which is now part of Toronto, hasn't released their own games in 9 years, and San Diego hasn't released their own game in more than 5 years. So where am I wrong again? Because helping on GTA and making PC ports is not the same as releasing full games, is it?

Sony Santa Monica and Japan Studio help smaller/indie and 2nd party developers all the time, but at the same time they work and release their own games.

_-EDMIX-_3883d ago

" hasn't released their own games in 9 years, and San Diego hasn't released their own game in more than 5 years. So where am I wrong again?"

When assuming those 9 and 5 years where pure development time on sequels.

ie "Releasing games after 9 and 5 years is rushing?"

How do you know what is "rushing" of a development time you have no clue when started?

They haven't released their own titles, but they haven't been doing nothing either bud, as again, you know not of the degree of work they've been doing on those other titles for Rockstar.

"Sony Santa Monica and Japan Studio help smaller/indie and 2nd party developers all the time"

LMFAO! Your comparing 2 of the biggest teams at Sony to a team that does ports and assist other Rockstar teams?

I mean...you do know that Sony Santa Monica has several games being developed at once right? Same with Sony Japan?

Controversial PS2 Games

The PS2 was no stranger to controversy. In fact, just looking at some of its advertising showed that Sony almost welcomed it. But there were a lot of games that caused plenty of headlines, and not all for cross-clutching reasons.
