ok, lets say its a test to see how smart people are, and see who's going to buy the season pass..

I've never heard this guy before but I totally agree with him on WHEN to buy a season pass. Buy it when you do know what is fully coming out. There is no penalty, especially in this case, in buying a pass later when you know when and what you're buying!

Half the game is in the Season Pass... and I'm going to guess the better half.

Stuff like this alone makes me not buy games that much anymore...or at least on release

I loved battlefront ps2. And I freakin love star wars, but I am going to pass on battlefront. That season pass is ridiculously over priced.

And I wasn't inpressed with the third person shooter mechanics found in the game either, too many times I'd have my aiming reticle pointed at the enemy only to find my bullets were obstructed by obsticles, like REALLY!? never have I had this problem in any third person shooter before, it seems like tps was tacked on to give it that "not a battfield skin" excuse, but really, even though it's not entirely a reskin, it isn't what I call a proper battlefront game, and it certainly is not a proper third person shooter either.

While playing in first person view I did enjoy my time with the beta,however i feel cheated that it's called battlefront and not Star Wars <insert title>. This is a cash grab for namesake of a treasured franchise that has long since been established in the gaming industry, with skipping the last generation of gamers, and bringing back a name to saltivate fans desire to once again play a battlefront game.

While I dont discourage prospective buyers from buying this game, I am simply offering my opinion from a fan of past battlefront games. It will surely be enjoyed by many people i'm sure, but this game should not have ever been called a Battlefront game.

I'm about to just give up on modern gaming. It's such trash. Pay more get less. That's the motto for this generation and even last. Charging for animations,weapon skins,maps,etc. most games nowadays are extremely overrated anyway. Can't believe people even care for any of the garbage games coming out. PS2 era was the last great console generation and it looks like it will be the last. As gaming becomes more and more mainstream, the more and more greedy these publishers will become and you can expect to have features that used to be free taken away and charged separately. Modern gaming is a cancer. Only the so called "gamers" can change it. Problems is 90% of the community are casual clueless idiots. That is all.

Why isn't Rainbow 6 receiving the same criticism? No campaign and £40 Season pass. This type of shit isn't exclusive to EA!

Funny how in Pandemic's SWBF3 we could start out on foot and then fly straight into space within the same level.Yet in this one with better hardware they can't do that crap.

$120 for the 'complete' game? I guess EA believes and wants gamers to believe that the season pass is the equivalent to a full game.
I've been fortunate enough to avoid any game with a season pass, but I am worried that this practice will eventually infect every AAA developer.

As much as a huge star wars fan i am, i cant see my myself buying the game. The only way to stop these practices from happening is not buying the game at all.

This is why I'm not buying it. I'll vote with my wallet. I'm getting Fallout 4 which should give me more bang for my buck. And if I love it, I'll get the Season Pass which is $30 I think. Which gives 4 $10 packs + anymore they create. Also I'm getting Need for Speed. I played the Closed Beta and liked it. I loved Underground and they did this justice aside from the always needing internet. I hate that it HAS to use Internet but I have it so whatever. I signed the change.org petition but doubt they will listen.

The more backlash this season pass gets, the more we vote with our wallet, the easier it'll be for EA to see they can't get away with murder. EA is being targeted now, but we need to get this rowdy over All these over priced season passes. Don't just spread the hate here on n4g share it everywhere. Internet movements do happen people, social media needs to be status bombed and tagged, hashtaged and shared with articles disproving of these practices.

What a shame. Greed is strong with EA. Hopefully there's a GOTY edition with all DLC next year. If not no buy from me.

Daylight robbery. This is perhaps the only instance when I would like to see a game fail, assuming that said failure would give EA enough of a kick up the ass to stop their bend over a barrel pricing practices.

EA wants to pull an Activision, but isn't as smooth at doing it.

What you need to do EA is sell the game first, then sell two expansions, and then sell the game all over again with an entire new take on the story, therefore making it seem like you're doing the fans a good service (but really just taking all their money.)

this is a game i will pass on for one reasons ,the fact there is no single player story.I never buy the season passes anyway but the fact they are trying to get 60.00 for it is a joke.

GET THIS!!! On PSN there is a $70 edition that comes with the season pass and there's a $90 bundle that just comes with Han Solos blaster among other junk! My buddy was so excited that he pre ordered the $90 version to find out 3 weeks later that there a $20 cheaper bundle that COMES WITH THE SEASON PASS. Sony and EA can fuck each other up the ass!!

People need to stop putting "epic fail" in their titles, when it clearly makes companies millions of dollars. It's not an epic fail when it makes money.

Just cancelled my preorder for the standard edition. Beta was fun for a few games but didn't grab me overly. The community will get divided by the premium extras. While thinking I'll wait for a GOTY version, agree with earlier comments that this will be kept at a high price for a fair while (EA and Disney steer). And in the meantime, other games will release that do demand attention, so realistically, I'll never play Battlefront anyway. Not feeling bad about that.
Hope those that get it enjoy their time though...
