EA May Have Teased Battlefront Clone Wars DLC

Star Wars Battlefront fans were in dismay after EA announced that there would be no Clone Wars era, and that the game would be specifically set in the Galactic Civil War. It seems now, though, that it’s possible the Clone Wars era may appear separately at a later date.

Same reaction. EA just can't get out of their own way. The Beta was fun as hell but I can't support this game with their garage DLC tactics. It's obvious this game was rushed for the movie and quite honestly it's sad more than anything.

As long as the main game has a decent amount of content and the DLC is priced correctly. Still would have liked to seen this included in the main game though obviously, we all like 'free stuff'.

I dont play Battlefield 4, can anyone give their impressions on the value of BF4 DLC packs? I've heard they are really good?

It was £50 for the game which included 10 maps and a whole load of weapons.

It was then £40 for 20 maps about 25 extra weapons. Not bad value really, but not all of the DLC maps were all that great.

Hoping Battlefront can change things up with significant DLC as the Star Wars Universe is pretty big...

I'm kind of drooling for a death star trench game mode, x-wings vs tie fighters with Darth and Luke as hero powerups. but I guess that is exactly what EA is relying on: fans that are dying to play certain parts of the movies and are willing throw money at the screen as soon as these things launch.

I'm sure they have a whole 10 year plan as the Disney deal is for 10 years of exclusivity. From a financial point of view if they are smart they will spread out content from all 6 movies plus the 3 new ones over those 10 years. From a gamers point of view we want everything in 1 massive game and we only want to pay for it once.

They are pretty much sitting on a damn gold mine depending on how much they paid for the licensing.

That would be a very shameless act, especially in the face of all the fan criticism and predictions regarding the lack of Clone Wars era in the game.

Now this is changing my view of the game and EA's business practice... I was somewhat okay with the fact that they were going to leave the Clone wars era out and strictly stay in the current (movie) era even if they decide to keep it that way when making the DLC.

If they are literally going to sell the game piece by piece with all the stuff thats missing (compared to original Battlefronts) alongside with some features... forget my purchase.

I dont mind that much about selling new maps/mini expansions like in Battlefield because I thought those were okay value and mostly additional content.
