Overall, all of the three new subclasses added in Destiny: The Taken King are awesome. Nightstalker, Stormcaller, and Subreaker all have their uses in both PvE and PvP Crucible content.
The only problem is that Bungie did such a great job with these three new subclasses that they kind of make the other subclasses feel a little obsolete and dated. Some more than others for sure, but some of vanilla Destiny’s subclasses could use some touching up.

Phil Spencer talks candidly about missing out on both Destiny and Guitar Hero
So you're saying that Microsoft has missed out on so many huge gaming franchise in the last 25 years from GTA exclusivity to guitar hero and destiny it's just laughable they had so many misses
Best deal deal in gaming must be when Sony bought Insomniac for 229 million dollars. They made over 800 millions on Spiderman for the ps4 alone. Thats just crazy!
another Interview?
how is he the only one who loves the spotlight as much as he does lol
Let's not forget he also famously passed on Spider-man, Genshin Impact and GTA3.
However it's almost kind of cute how he can keep that sh1t-eating grin and say he's a 'no regrets' kind of guy, especially when you think how much just these 5 titles could have swung the world in Xbox's favour instead of Sonys.
How he's kept his job I don't know, he must sure be keeping Papa Nadella's shaft warm somehow.
"But, but Gamepass, he introduced that!!!"
Yes he did, and now look at Xbox, all it's exclusives are coming to Playstation now rendering the platform obsolete.
Yeah, they really need to add a bit of new incentive to go back to some of the older subclasses. Sure they're still solid, but the new ones work so well as a team.
IMO the only thing they need to do with any of the subclasses is to reduce the amount of hammers the Titan can throw, around 6 hammers compared to golden gun (3 shots) and nova bomb (1 bomb) it just way over powered and only proves the game is not balanced in PvP!
Hard to go back to Defender class after i maxed out my Sunbreaker class . Those flaming hammers are so fun to throw in PVE strikes .
Some of these are pretty good.
All the classes really need are an extra ability for the Super and a new perk.
Striker:
Super: Gain an Overshield when using their super (pretty much ends being instant killed when using your super (rare to being with) and allows you to come out of the animation without being complete bullet magnet for those who didn't get in it).
Perk: improvement for aiming their super in the air turning them into a missile. This would offer great synergy with their new exotic helmet which let's them float in the air.
Gunslinger:
Super: Critical kills with Golden Gun drops an extra orb, 3 critical hits with Golden Gun grants you an extra shot. This makes it's PvE super much more useful, and in PvP if you're great with your aim give Gunslingers a taste of Sunbreaker's power allowing up to 5 shots with your Exotic Helmet.
Perk: Critical kills give bonus melee and grenade energy
Voidwalker:
Super: Instead of having the tri-projectile nova bomb, let nova bomb fire 3 times on a charge timer like the Hunter's Teether Super, but make these bombs much smaller in scale so it's not OP.
Perk: Grenade kills grant bonus Grenade energy
Sunsinger:
Super: Fireborn comes standard in Radiance, so you can revive regardless.
Perk: Replace Fireborn perk with something like.....Trailblazer: Boost agility of you and your teammates while under Radiance (a team wide agility boost for 15 - 20 seconds shouldn't be OP).
Bladedance
Super: Increase duration to equal Sunbreakers (if you're not going to reduce the time for SB)
Perk: A camouflaged shot / melee deals bonus damage (the whole point is to be invisible)
Defender
Super: Significantly reduces cooldown of your Grenades and Melee while inside Ward of Dawn
Perk: When entering Ward of Dawn you temporarily gain Max Armor. This allows you to build your Titan for Recovery & Agility, pop WoD and also have Armor for about 5 - 15 seconds, allowing it to be a slight tank outside the bubble, and a beastly tank inside, and that's before boost like Blessing's of Light, Armor of Light, and Force Barrier.
