Journey’s Developer Next Game “Won’t Have the Same Emotional Experience”

That Game Company’s next project is a multiplayer, multiplatform game, but it won’t have the same emotional experience of Journey.

I really liked Journey's emotional atmosphere. However, I trust they will make another great game.

Me too. Don't care what they will do, but I am sure it will be great. One of the few honest and good developers out there now.

Very wise of them to set the bar lower, coming off of an incredible release.

I would have wanted them to produce a similar emotional experience but different overall experience than Journey if that makes any sense.

I don't think stating their next game is not going to have the same emotional impact is saying they're setting the bar lower. It just means that their next game is going to be different.

Personally I didn't form any emotional connection with journey, though I still enjoyed it, dominantly from an artistic perspective. It's a pretty game with a myriad of intriguing environments to wander through. I appreciated it for that.

I'm fine with that, best not to be a one trick pony. Love to see devs try something different, sticking to the same thing is torture to devs, they like to always try new ides, but never really get the chance to under the hands of most publishers they work under.
