Why would you buy an Alienware Alpha when you could have built a much better PC for the same price, especially considering the GPU in the Alpha is almost identical to the PS4's.

You're playing 1080p @ 60fps with a mix of mid-high settings on the Alpha (if you want 60fps at that resolution) vs. 900p @ 60fps with high-mid settings.

But completely moving pass that if you bought the cheaper version you have a CPU (i3-4000 series) that's going to be completely phased out in every way since games are becoming more CPU demanding and Intel is already removing the 4000 series from it's manufacturing process, and moved on to the 6000 series.

Which means you'll be buying another one in the not to distant future. Don't waste your money on it, just bit the bullet and build a PC and go from there. You've proven you're willing to spend $500 on a PC, so spend the extra bit and get one that'll last for 2+ generations.

I think what really helped them around this time is they only had to code for 3 systems with the same arch compared to BF4 which was coded for 5 systems and we all know how tricky old gem arch was.

BTW does anyone know if the beta is up in the U.S PSN store?
