Some truly epic final boss battles

Even if some are better than others, almost every game has one, that final sequence that aims to test all of the skills you’ve picked up throughout the duration of the game. When you and the final boss square off against one another. With that in mind, these are some of the most epic conclusions to games we’ve played in recent times

Darkness Of The Unknown ost made KH2 final boss so damn epic. I cant possibly imagine how Kingdom Hearts 3 will top that.

Also FFXIII Lightning Returns boss was easy and didnt take long at all. Its a damn shame that the time mechanic ruined the game for me. I mean, it already had an awesome combat and challenging enemies and the NG+ was great but the time mechanic made me hate the game. Why restrict a game like this is beyond me.

MGS3 The Boss was just Perfection. No soundtrack (for the first five minutes), two legends fighting each other. Loved each other, respected each other CQCing each other :). It was so sad when Big Boss pulled the trigger in the end :( .

Remember Me, Episode 4 boss battle with Madame

Because no one else will bring that up, such an awesome game

DarkOcelet3876d ago

I have to disagree. Madame was a good fight but honestly it was not that good.

Its basically a copy of Mad Hatter fight from Arkham City, fight goons/imaginary enforcers, wait till Madame/Mad Hatter appear, kick their butts and you are done :)

Nice list.
I liked the final boss battles for Devil May Cry 1&3. Very intense and epic.

I’d love to know how many units have been sold of all the Final Fantasy VII franchise games, including the original, the remakes, spin offs such as Crisis Core, and mobile games Ever Crisis. I bet a fair few copies.

Modern day publisher be like: "Failed to meet sales expectations. Pivoting to live service."

It's an absolute legend of a game. And I honestly really love how the remake trilogy is shaping up so far.

If you already own it... There, I saved you the click on a deliberately misleading article.

I bought the game yesterday on steam for $4 because Square Enix is trying to replace it with a version that has no mod support.

Prior to yesterday, I had no idea the game had so many great mods until people started making a fuss out of it.

Knightofelemia106d ago

I wish Square would port other old games to newer systems I want Xenogears.

You can thank FF7 scaring Baldur's Gate 2's director 'S***less' for every RPG since

But BG2 didn't emerge in a vacuum, and in a recent chat with Slandered Gaming it emerged that—while we can thank BG2 for a lot of our favourite RPGs since—we have a whole other game to thank for BG2. That'd be Final Fantasy 7, which lit a fire under BG2 director James Ohlen to go all out with the game's structure and companions, per Trent Oster—who worked on the original Baldur's Gate and has since become CEO of Beamdog, the studio behind the BG1 and BG2 Enhanced Editions.
