Katie Joell from Gamerscore Whores writes "We go hands on with Crystal Rift a grid based dungeon crawler. What's more, it's in full VR and you know we absolutely love VR. The full release will be compatible with the Oculus Rift and the Samsung Gear VR device. Expect puzzles, hidden rooms, pressure plates and plenty of challenges to keep you guessing throughout the game. How is the game looking, jump into our video and find out. Terrible game should be free.

Spenok3308d ago

Have you actually played it?

GrimDragon3308d ago (Edited 3308d ago )

Yes I have with the psvr. You can't tell me this game doesn't feel like a 1991 game. Not a fan of grid based movement. Levels are as bland as it gets with hardly anything to kill.

Spenok3307d ago

For your information, the PSVR isn't required for this game. It's completely optional, but it obviously does have full support.

I do agree it feels old, but that's the intent. My brother absolutely loves these types of games for some reason, and while I typically dislike them, I was willing to give this one a go simply BECAUSE of PSVR. PSVR has got me trying new genres I otherwise would avoid because it changes up the experience. While this game is no masterpiece by any stretch of the word, it's a fun little game with a cheap price that allows for a run through a proceedurally generated world which can be interesting, and sometimes challenging.

I'm not upset with my purchase to say the least.

"I'm not upset with my purchase to say the least."

That's all that really matters right?
Iam not as fortunate as you. Really hated this game. But that's my loss. Glad you like it.

Spenok3306d ago

Definitely right. Sorry you didn't like it. Although I'd definitely not if it wasn't a VR title. It is absolutely a low budget game, but it's trying to be as faithful to that genre as possible, which it appears to do well.

What games do you typically play?

GrimDragon3305d ago (Edited 3305d ago )

Action/adventure, rpg, platformers, fps, fighting/racer games, in that order. I've been wanting a dungeon crawler for the psvr, that's why I bought this game.
