IGN:
The past few years have no doubt been bumpier than Ubisoft would like when it comes to its flagship franchise, thanks to the embarrassingly well-publicised issues with last year’s Assassin’s Creed Unity. Coupled with the ever-present spectre of franchise fatigue, it’s safe to say this year’s instalment of Assassin’s Creed has a lot to prove. Thankfully, a long-overdue shake-up to the game’s fighting means it feels more viscerally brutal than ever, just in the nick of time.

Assassin's Creed franchise boss Marc-Alexis Côté has departed Ubisoft after a career spanning more than 20 years, IGN understands.

PSU: "A day after publishing my review for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, I hopped on a plane to from my hometown Toronto, to head to another one of Canada’s great cities, Quebec City.
I was there to visit the studio and get a behind-the-scenes look as to some of the detailed work that went into the development of Shadows, and to also speak to members of the development team and of Ubisoft who each worked on this game."

Assassin's Creed Syndicate recently got a 60 FPS update, allowing the game to run at 4K and 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series S|X.
It is amazing what's available. Blue Dragon. Binary Domain. AVP. Chaos Theory. Lots of gems to be had.
There is no re-start option (that I can find). Since I've already finished the story years ago, I can't re-start it to check the new update.
All the focus seems to be on the troubled release of Assassin's Creed Unity because of all the bugs and such, but the game in itself, in DESIGN, was flawed as well, with a boring story and main character, and gameplay that wasn't challenging nor engaging.
Hopefully the new AC Syndicate will remedy all that.
