Instead of defending everything Sony, I would ask why are Sony peripherals and products underwhelming, unsupported and almost abandoned once released.

I find most peripherals from any company underwhelming and under supported. Wouldn't really call it a Sony thing. Kinect had support well enough, but that didn't bring anything worthwhile for the most part. The Vita had decent support for a couple years, but seems no one cared for it, so Sony stopped trying....at least in the west.

That being said, I wouldn't really call the PSTV a peripheral, although it can have periphery uses to the PS4. It actually is a full fledged console, but how much support should Sony give it when people are just going to sell it and bash it left and right for no real good reason.

That being said, the biggest peripherals Sony has released I can think of are Move, and I'll throw in the Vita for the sake of argument. Move was supported, just not over marketed outside the casual, which is where motion control belonged. Vita is still being sold, and games are coming out for it. It's become a niche machine, but I wouldn't consider it underwhelming.

I fail to see how my comment was defending Sony either way...more a mocking of Lawson's lack of self control in his purchasing habits since he seems to sell everything for what is likely a mere pittance, just to purchase the more expensive version, which I'm sure if I went back far enough in his history I would find he also sold because it didn't suit him.

If the PlayStation TV can play all of those consoles(besides PS2) I listed why can't the PS4 other than Sony not porting their emulators to PS4?

Yea, but some of my titles were acquired through PS+. Hard decision. I buy primarily digital these days because I'm American, but now living in EU. It's cheaper and more convenient to continue buying games from the US store. I literally have never bought a physical PS4 disc, but own tons of titles. (It's great for Remote Play also, as everything is instantly accessible without having to change discs. Especially useful for remote play when away from the house.) If I were banned, I'd still be able to access my purchased digital titles, yea? I'd probably just lose the PS+ stuff.

I went ahead and did it. Love it! Sure, there are some spots you may get stuck in Uncharted, but I do still own my Vita so I'll just switch over for those parts.

There is something important missing from the instructions. After doing the Mailer setup through Thunderbird, when setting your email on the PStv, you cannot use an email address from an "Other" provider, like Outlook, etc. This caught me up for an hour or so. You must use Gmail or I imagine Yahoo, which are the two defaults. The image file wasn't clickable when I used Outlook, but worked perfectly when I did Gmail. Hope this helps anyone having this issue.

Again, I don't condone doing this unless you're using your own legally owned games. Support the developers!

Some of those can be had on PS3, no? I'm inclined to say they don't really count. On an actual Vita, sure, cause you can throw the "But its on the go" argument but on a PSTV? Idk. I do agree that if you don't have a PS3 and only a PSTV then you SHOULD be able to play majority of those titles, but lets keep it Vita only here. With that said, I'm surprised to not see DJMAX Technika Tune on your list.

Yea I was really disappointed in Ys not being compatible

I've talked with guys at Xseed about this and it seems they're waiting on Sony to add the patch and white-list the game. Falcom and Xseed have done all they can.
