Marcus Estrada writes: "Every month Kickstarter is full of wild successes, and depressing failures. While some are always going to have that massive fan push behind them to see hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding others barely make it to the finish line. Due to the nature of Kickstarter, there’s simply not enough money to go around to fund every worthwhile campaign."
The brains behind MDK and Citizen Kabuto couldn’t crack Kickstarter, but that won’t stop First Wonder from launching, as this interview with Rogue Rocket Games' Nick Bruty reveals.
I have two conflicting opinions/impressions about this game:
- It looks interesting. I loved Citizen Kabuto, and this seems similar enough.
- It [literally] looks like some old guy just discovered UE4 and decided to make this over the weekend. Everything about this game looks like it's stuck in 90's PC gaming era, but with a shiny new coat of paint (although not THAT shiny).
Serena Nelson writes: "Unfortunately, while some things went right with First Wonder a lot went horribly wrong, which caused the campaign to flounder early on. In the end they decided to just cancel the project and regroup. As of right now the status of the game is in the air."
