I've not heard anyone say that but you are probably correct that it will be an issue when it launches to the mainstream.

They've stated this at all conferences.... Its about a visceral experience..... But lets expand on that, not all games need 360/peripheral vision.... Just as Sonys head mounted 3D displays before it, Morpheus could also be equivalent to a static "ENORMOUS" Display....

I agree with this assessment. I see VR games being more short form experiences than traditional console titles. I can't see devs creating large 10 hour games for this as it's apparently not recommended to stay in the VR space that long for the risk of becoming The Lawnmower Man. I'd personally love to have pointed 1-2 hour immersive gaming experiences as well as smaller 10-15 minute VR excursions like sky diving or BASE jumping.

I just see all of these GoPro videos featuring daredevils slack lining hundreds of feet in the air and it seems like the perfect kinds of experiences to translate into the VR space to me. Seems like Sony would eventually stretch this tech past gaming as well. I could see Sonys film division creating short films utilizing VR and I think one day we will get to the point where experiences like these will be winning Oscars for their efforts. It's all a matter of time really, VR is a step above the 3d fad, given time it will be it's own unique experience unto itself.

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
