
EverQuest Next is still very much a thing according to Daybreak producer Terry Michaels. On a livestream recorded earlier this afternoon, Michaels said that a big internal playtest happens today. It’s an opportunity for Daybreak to bring in people who haven’t been working on the game for usability tests and to provide feedback on the work the team has been doing for the past several months.

I was super pumped about this game a year or more ago, but my shine for MMO's has faded. I played WoW for many years hardcore, and tried about 5-6 other MMOs, but none did it for me.
I think this one has a good chance to be in the second tier with a number of successful (just not fun for me) MMOs.
