Satellite Reign is a game about controlling a small team of uniquely skilled individuals around a big city full of corporations to steal from, sabotage, or otherwise make enemies of. It's a game of choices, and often of very immediate repercussions of those choices. Free range is given to tackle problems any way seen fit, with a lot of scope for creativity thanks to the various skillsets and gadgets acquired over the course of the game. Care has to be taken, though; disabling the wrong gate, opening the wrong gas vent, or just not paying attention to ability damping fields, might leave the team needing a replacement member. The balance of risks and rewards, coupled with the multiplicity of approaches to any problem makes Satellite Reign a fun world to play in, as discovered in Cubed3's hands-on preview of the Steam Early Access build. How does the full release now hold up?
CG writes: We take a quick look back to August 2015 with Five Lives Studio’s cyberpunk themed Satellite Reign on PC. The game looks fantastic and offers some top-down real-time strategy action with four customizable cyborg agents. The game was offered for free at one point but if you want to pick it up today it will set you back £22.99 from Steam. It makes a neat game to play whilst waiting for other cyberpunk themed games this year.
The excellent Syndicate inspired game from 5 Lives Studios can be yours for nothing.
CG writes: 5 Lives Studios cyberpunk tactical game Satellite Reign is now one of Steam’s daily deals with a whopping 85% Off the listed price making it a steam for just £3.44 – you have some 40 odd hours left to grab the deal. We reviewed the game when it first released (8 out of 10 score) and found a really enjoyable game which since then has been updated and now includes co-op play.
