Arkham Knight PC patch released - Works for some, crashes for others

MWEB GameZone writes: Warner Bros. finally released the PC patch for Arkham Knight. But according to Steam user feedback it crashes the game for most, while it works fine for some.

Warner Bros. have still not offered to give PC users the DLC for free. They've only been trying to fix a game that's been out for months, and still without success.

Can we safely say that this is another AC Unity case?

HanCilliers3945d ago

IMO it's worse. WB took long to take responsibility, and when they finally did it was weak. Plus the KNEW the PC port was broken and still thought it was good enough to release.

Not a good way to end Rocksteady's awesome batman series.

Kalebninja3945d ago

@plut0nash well its definitely the final arkham game since they kept saying its the final arkham game, but maybe not the last batman game. They could be making a Batman: Beyond game. The ending did set up well for that.

LightofDarkness3945d ago

Jesus dude, SPOILERS. Most of us PC gamers haven't played it yet because of the issues, and yet here you are, in a thread about that very issue, discussing the ending.

Unity ran fine for me on my PC. It's definitely a demanding game, but it doesn't have the massive frame latency spikes Batman does. That's a difference that some people need to learn to understand.

I'd say this is worse as well, but I'm one of the rare few who had no major issues with Unity at all, the framerate could drop a bit but it wasn't game breaking and I finished it with only a couple of ragdoll glitches.

@LightofDarkness, don't worry he didn't ruin anything, that's pure speculation on his part.

yes and no, yes because it's full of bugs and all that stuff... and no because it's only for the pc version, for consoles versions it has no problems at all, while Unity was kinda crappy for all versions

SonZeRo3945d ago

This is why everyone should have a PC and both Consoles, Then you can have the best of all games.

Wow, this is getting ridiculous.

I have to say this is reminding me of what Ubisoft did with AC.

IMO refund all PC purchases. DO IT

ZombieDreddZA3945d ago

Warner Bros. really are not making themselves any friends with this game on PC.

What a disaster. Going to wait till the complete edition drops below $20. I don't mind the wait since I just beat Arkham City in July.

I would also add Risk of Rain 2 as long as you don't stray too far from a power source as each run can be long as the hours melt away. Another thing to note is that based on the reports, the FPS may drop into the 40s if a lot of enemies are on the screen.

There is also the Half Life series. If you haven't played half-life before then you can do so now at the super low price.

Mafia was amazing looking and had a great story. Played flawlessly at 30fps as well without dips 99% of the time.

The same is true for Jedi Fallen Order

Sony games as also on sale. Picked up Rachet and Clank, cant wait to try it!
