After a seven-year hiatus, the Wolfenstein franchise is reborn. Id software, with internal development teams already devoted to Doom 4 and Rage, again enlists the aid of Raven Software, which last worked with id on Quake 4. With Wolfenstein, Raven aims to hold true to the themes that made Wolfenstein 3D and Return to Castle Wolfenstein such hits: intense combat, secret treasure, and a story-driven experience. At QuakeCon 2008 this week in Dallas, GameSpot sat down with both id and Raven for their first look at Wolfenstein.
The great thing about being one of the most popular consoles of all-time is that there’s always more underappreciated bangers to spotlight.
Definitely a good game and loved the art style. My daughter watched me play it when she was 4 years old. I’ll have to replay it with her someday now that she’s older. It’s crazy it’s been around 11 years.
I was thinking of pulling out my PS3 super slim this winter to replay Rain, and try to tackle some of the backlog I acquired.
I love Enslaved such a sleeper hit, Asuras Wrath a very good game I still own, and I wish EA would put out a new Dante's Inferno another game I enjoyed. I never heard of the Rain game I might have to try it out might give Ebay a snoop or two.

Sometimes, you want a relatable villain who makes you question your own morality. Other times, you want Frau Engel.
It got old tbh. Machine needed a break from the IP. Indie is a good reprieve.

I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
