Counting Down to Until Dawn

Until Dawn, an upcoming, ambitious project from British developer, Supermassive Games, is right around the corner after its original announcement about three years ago. For those who have been living under a rock, the game follows a similar formula demonstrated in Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, serving as an interactive, story-telling experience that is narrative focused, but contains seemingly solid, innovative gameplay.

When do the reviews go out for this I really would like to see

DragonDDark3917d ago

1 or 2 days before release date

Bathyj3917d ago

I have a feeling it will crucified. Too many choices, not enough guns.

smashman983917d ago

Which is one reason why I hate waiting for reviews but at the same time I'm not rich and supermassive doesn't exactly have the pedigree for me to trust them without people backing up their game. SO I am definitely crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

So far all the previews have been positive, and the main critisicm - if you can even call it that - is that the game comes of as a cheesy teen slasher movie. But that is exactly what the devs were aiming for in the first place.

I think this one will be a surprise hit - for those who like games like Beyond Two Souls, and Heavy Rain.

BitbyDeath3917d ago

It's certainly ambitious with what they are trying to achieve. Even Heavy Rain had some boundaries with how the story progresses and telltale don't even try at all despite claiming your choices matter.

Really looking forward to this game, it has a chance to make Supermassive supermassive.

So we have to do it 6 times?

Please get the joke

Dexterio207d ago

Now we're talking! Best month for me this whole year.

Puty207d ago

I am very happy for Tekken 3

Redgrave207d ago

It's not going to get trophies, is it 😕

It's a really solid addition, but I'd love a platinum for it. Same with Soul Calibur 3 if that's really next month.

Deeeeznuuuts207d ago

Yeah, it's a real shame that some publishers still don't add trophies, I mean, even Disney do and they even update games to add them

VersusDMC206d ago

Some PS2 classics have trophies so hopefully Soul Calibur 3 has it.

And ps1 classics not having trophies is dissapointing but at least they give you the new version for free if you bought the old ps1 classic.

I'm confused. Did they contribute to the writing of the movie?

darthv72376d ago

I think the game writes should be glad... the movie is not that good. Its connection to the game is in name only.
