Are previews usually with the final build of the game?

BigDuo3923d ago

I think preview versions are typically older versions of the game because demos take weeks if not a month or more to make, so that takes away time from actual development of finishing a the game. Nintendo and other companies like to reuse the same old versions of the game by providing them at various industry events. Even when new levels and mechanics are featured, it's still very likely an older version of the game compared to the progress the real game in development is currently at. With that said, it's not likely that we will see a drastic change in the game's quality. The graphics may be slightly improved, but not by much and the controls and mechanics may see some fine tuning.

I am pretty sure these are alpha/beta. So lets hope the final build is more polished.

swice3923d ago

I'll be siding with you on this one

RashBandicoot3923d ago

Well if it's this close to release I doubt they will be able to change must honestly. The biggest issue not knowing when to look up and when to look down. That almost breaks the game.

Nintendo really is pushing the gamepad for this game, but if I give it an honest effort ,and I still have problems, I will switch controllers.

Zombi U took some getting used to, so we will see. This being a major IP of Nintendo's, I just can not see this game being less than an 8/10, 4/5. I really hope I am right.

It's funny a year or so ago Nintendo was saying this game is "very cinematic" aside from the music (which is cinematic) " I do not see it.

Nintendo has surprised me before lets see if they can do it again.

I'm thinking the majority of gamers do not like multitasking and this why many are so put off by motion controls or dual screen gameplay, its more complex requires more focus than pushing buttons.

It's a good ponder. Nintendo would be stupid to not do it. The more titles and first party line up released on the Switch 2 the more enticed the customer will be.

Star Fox Zero, Was it Really That Bad?

Has time been kind to Star Fox Zero? Does the game have any redeeming qualities that are worthy of revisiting? Should it be considered for a port to the Switch? Was it really that bad?

Haven't played it since it came out, but I really enjoyed it. Can't tell if that's just nostalgia-tinted glasses, or if I actually consider it a good game though lol.

Vits1653d ago

It's a mediocre game that reuses ideas, scenarios, characters and moments from previous ones. Paired with one of the worst control methods that I had the displeasure of using.

CptDville1652d ago

Those controls. Boring and frustrating at the same time. Only with co-op they were bearable, but co-op was restricted to finished levels.

SeTTriP1652d ago

Yes couldn't finish it it was so boring.

MissAubrey1651d ago

controls made me stop playing also what good is a 65inch tv when you have to look at a tiny Wiiu tablet.. same with kirby & the rainbow curse..

Einhander19711651d ago

No it was great, just the control scheme spoilt things really. The wii u screen was not needed for it really

I’d rather Star Fox Assault be brought to Switch with online multiplayer instead

Teflon021701d ago

Finally, someone who knows about Assault. Best Star Fox Multi-player imo.

Neonridr1701d ago

or a Star Fox 64 remaster instead.

deadfrag1701d ago

Platinum Games wants to many things but sadly it does not show nothing new for years! They try to jump on all offers but end finishing none!

whitbyfox1701d ago

1: Get rid of the motion controls.

2: Bring us Okami 3.

Good-Smurf1701d ago (Edited 1701d ago )

I rather have them show more of Bayonetta 3 first before they talking about any new project.
This reeks Inafune's funding for Red Ash and Mighty No.9 animated series, both never materialized.
