MGS5 is going to sell out on launch day if not dam near close to it, with this being the final Kojima produced Metal Gear game you better believe Mad Max sale potential is going to get crushed in the worse way.

If people really believe Mad Max is gonna sell just fine against MGS5 are in for a rude awakening, if the game was released on another date i can see Mad Max getting substantial sales but that game will have very slow start out the gate.

Probably it will, Mad Max would benefit it it were released this month or this week, for example.
Once a developer said that the first weeks are the most important for the sales, i just want to remember when i saw something like that.
Mad Max looks amazing and i really want to buy it, but after Metal Gear Solid.

Mad max movie was alright but there's no way I'm buying the game over a proven franchise, that is MGS!

I've been saying forever that metal gear is not a game for the masses. You either like it and have followed the series or you don't. Or you're willing to give this one a try like I am. In my 33 years of gaming metal gear just never appealed to me but I'm gonna get this one cause it looks interesting. I'm buying both but I know damn well I'm playing mad max first. That game looks sick. I think people may be surprised by the sales.

Everything don't need to be a competition! I hope both games sell enough to succeed but I am biased towards MGS since it is Hideo kojima last tittle in this marquee franchise.

I sincerely hope that Mad Max sells better and MGSV ends up being a huge financial flop. Konami doesn't deserve the peoples money, buy it used or something. Saying this as a MGS fan.

Yes metal gear will effect mad max sales. The same way fallout will really hurt tomb raider sales.

Mad Max is not really that good, this is what people said who played Mad Max already.
In my opinion only silly boys will put Mad Max higher than MGS V.

People will understand when reviews will start to show up.
MGSV most of them will get 9 or 10

Yes it will hurt, but there are other factors...

Such as with the PC version....it's by WB, and we still haven't seen ONE FRAME let alone footage of the PC version.

We're less then 3 weeks from launch, and that's not good. They are in a position to need to prove that it works to many, and they aren't doing that.

Which means

1. Either they are morons
2. There is something to hide

Right now probably about half the people interested in this game on PC are scared to death that WB will force Avalanche to push it out the door before it's ready, like Arkham Knight and Mortal Kombat X.

I want to see footage.... PC footage.

Yes it is, I beat the game, like a month ago. Its from avalanche who made Hogwarts Legacy. The only problem for me is that some of the side activities are a bit repetitive, but the combat it's so brutal that it's very very satisfying.
