It would obviously be better than 30fps at 900p as even the XBone almost makes it at that resolution.

They have come to the conclusion that image quality is more important than framerate for this game. If the XBone ran 1080p at anything over 20-25fps they would have stuck with that resolution.

Its the developers that are doing that not Sony. Otherwise 900P games wouldn't exist on the PS4 and there are plently of them. Battlefield 4, Assassins Creed Unity and StarWars Battlefront are the most famous ones.

Heck even Blackflag and COD Ghosts were released at 900P on the PS4 but they were quickly patched to 1080P.

The reason why the PS4 version is 1080P and the X1 version is 900P is because of shader count.

Now remember this is only a developer from Project Red saying this. Which means that in their case it's true but it might not be true for other developers.

Edit: Here's the source where I got the resolution for the PS4s games. I know its a comparison but I'm not using it for that. I merely used it to prove that developers can get 900P games on the PS4 if they wanted to.

Xbox 900p is the way too go for this game unless you like your terrible frames rates 1080pa and 15fps like BloodBorne lol.

Tell me about it. I remember spending over 45 minutes loading a particular game (written in basic) on C64, only to find it didn't load and starting again (with the tape drive propped up at some strange angle).

It could easily take 2 hours to get a game to load back then.

Not only did it take my Acorn Electron 30 minutes or so to load a game but i'd also have to load the joystick drivers...every time i wanted to use it :)

As gamer's we are well and truly spoiled now, amazing immersive experiences and a huge library to choose from.

Well it's all about things getting better with time right.

I remember having to walk 30 miles to school, in the snow, with no shoes on, while fighting polar bears. This was before guns were invented so i had to use a fork.
