Josh, Matt, Allan and Adnan from ToasterChimp discuss whether or not the Resident Evil franchise is in serious need of a reboot.

With the ninth mainline installment looming, it feels like the right moment to rank every mainline Resident Evil game from worst to best.
At first I was like, No Code Veronica on the list!? But then I seen Mainline. The list checks out, but I would personally put 2 over 4.
The original RE was the best. Its not on the list which makes no sense.
The remake of it was alright but should be higher on this list.

Capcom has launched a new website to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its long-running survival horror series, Resident Evil.

A major Resident Evil voice actor was recently asked about the rumored Resident Evil 1 Remake and allegedly dropped a major hint.
It will come. I just think it will be after code Veronica, and zero. Maybe in line with when RE 10 releases…
do we really need another remake?
the one that got re released for the ps4 and xbox looks amazing.
Part of me always wishes the "OG" Resident Evil Remake would remain the only one. Then again, can't deny the financial incentive.
Only if it's to go back to survival horror or it's pointless.
Do the right thing Capcom give us Resident Evil back.
I font care if its a reboot, as long as the game is good n scary.
Legitimately scary, not "the tank controls make it scary" scary.
Gawd yes. The story has become a convoluted mess.
Not really. We just need more survival horror RE games.
Yeah I think the majority of fans will say it does. It hasn't been survival horror since 4 came out. Even that was just skirting the lines. But it was good.
The story now is so convoluted. And the gameplay is just generic third person shooter. Where are the puzzles, riddles and genuine tension??
I've played these games since 2 first came out. I miss true Resident Evil games. Bring back the mansion, raccoon city and a simpler storyline that somewhat makes sence.
