Nothing like Titanfall. More of a Destiny inspiration than anything else which itself had MMO/MOBA elements like the supers.

Mirrors's Edge did parkour way before Titanfall but you don't see people calling Titanfall a Mirror's Edge clone.

I want to play the beta first, then I decide if Im getting it. To many good fps this holidays. Im getting for sure sidge, battlefront, fallout. Im on the fence with halo and cod.

Joyful Joyful Joyful. The more Treyarch make COD like Titanfall, the more the real developers of COD can make Titanfall more like the original COD. They can just call it fall and we'll shove the Titan's in the garage.

Nobody made COD as strategically war-like than Vince Zampella. Now the 'I'm pinching this' strategy has come into play. One thing Vince could do was create a simplistic creative flair. It didn't need to be over-rated. It had it's little twists that made you love the REAL sniper rifle, which took 5 minutes of patience that felt like an eternity, headphones cranked to the max to listen to local corridors on Bloc before pulling off the 'shot of the night'. These things don't exist in Call Of Duty these days. It's more like Pac-man chasing ghosts or vice-versa.

Like the author mentioned, King.com is a prime example of ripping off a game in 2 weeks and ploughing money into advertising with games such as the beleaguered Pac-Avoid. It's not big and it's not clever, it's insensitive to the creative art that bore the idea. In 3 years now COD franchise has 70% ripped off Titanfall. I hope there is a law-suit at the end of it because Activision is letting the series go down the same route as KING did.

When I boot an Activision labelled Atari game, all I see is creative flair so what happened?

On another note, the only place Titanfall ever let itself down via gameplay was the 'boys and toys' syndrome. It's impossible to sit in a house the whole game picking off pilots when there's a huge fkin Mech you can dive into. Enter Kickarse Mode. It's fun to do.

Personally I miss the raw gameplay of COD4 and would love a HD remake and I'm sure it will come eventually. In the meantime, Activision:-

We need a shipment of decent gameplay, something original in the pipeline. There is no point making a strike if it's not original content that you have just ambushed. Avoid the series getting overgrown before you crash from the crossfire. In essence, get out of the bog or your premises may end up vacant.
