Red Ashes

Red Ash wraps up its final hours on Kickstarter, with failure looking to be a dead cert. However, thanks to a “last minute” save by Fuze, the game’s getting made anyway… and people aren’t happy.

An exercise in terrible management and shoddy communication, the hot mess that is Red Ash and Comcept’s marketing strategy stands as an example of exactly how big names need to NOT approach the crowdfunding world.

That's terrible. I was hyped when he broke off from the Japanese corporations to build his own business, he has directed some of my favorite games of all time. His first few games out of the new studio were a huge letdown and it was to sad to see the quality hit rock bottom. I appreciate him giving it a shot an taking the risk, it didn't work out and it happens. Maybe he will give it another shot someday and learn from these mistakes.

we are still waiting for his other game Red ash, which we never heard for a while, except for the anime.

I lost so much respect for this guy. I am still bitter over Mighty No. 9 and not getting the backer rewards as promised. All I've gotten was what was promised in the lowest tier with a t shirt and a dumb plushie.

Have you guys seen the latest comments on the MN9 Kickstarter page? Lots of backers still haven't gotten their rewards.

yea I'm in that tier and it doesn't look like we will get them. Honestly I quit doing Kickstarters because of this game. A "signature edition" came out at retail for $60 (I think). I did one of those upper tier backings with a reward of a cartridge, art book, and all kinds of stuff.

Yea all I got was a digital code for the game, a DLC skin for the wrong platform, a t-shirt, and a plushie...
