Some major BS, specially after the **** they pulled with Red Ash, the graphics (bait and switch) change for Mighty #9 and the continual denying of a delay, now doing this a month before release for online features which could just as well be added at a later date...

I know the gif is fanmade and the other is concept art, but seriously, the games looks bland and meh, specially compared to the gorgeous and vibrant kickstarter art.

I have the 250 dollar tier and have never received an email for the beta or even which platform to choose.

The way they're going with this sucks. Now I have to wait even longer. ugh

Wow. So many cry babies. So you want an unfinished game that has bugs and is half finished? Because there's no other games until then right?

How does a 2D game, based on mega man, supposedly being created by this "all-star team", including the creator himself, and after raising 4 million dollars, have bugs? What a load of shit. Con artist work at it's best.

Inaphony learned well from Capcom.

If they released it now, they'd be under fire for releasing a buggy and/or incomplete game and relying on patches to carry the load, like so many others we've complained about this gen, resulting in poor starting reviews and bad word of mouth from having to wait for patches to fix the flaws/ add in the features.

Yet if they don't release it now, they come under fire for being liars who can't keep to their release date "promises", resulting in lowered trust and, again, bad word of mouth.

No matter which way they do it, Inafune is in a lose-lose situation.

So the real question is this: Are fans willing to overlook the lie for the sake of a more complete game?

Or is expedience and an earlier crack at the game, at the cost of a messier starting product fixed later via patches, more acceptable, even after all the complaints we've had this gen about broken/incomplete games not being held back for proper QC?

I don't like the lies from a third party/indie anymore than anyone else here does.
Anyone here who knows me, knows I'm sick to death of third parties screwing up their own games.
But I think it's time we try deciding which of those two things should be our accepted norm, going forward, rather than the majority damning them no matter which side of the line they fall on.

Faster games in exchange for patches to fix stuff later?
Or a longer wait in exchange for a more complete game right from the start?

Personally, I'll take the latter, with some exceptions, like when one version of a multiplat gets delayed while all others release early.
Although, that might just be my early days talking, since I grew up in the days when patches weren't a thing, and most games HAD to be fully fleshed out upon release.

Lol Mighty No9 was the beginning of the "scam" game and social media cheesing. Riding on the hate wave of Capcom pretty much anyone was donating to any game that just happens on to be on Kickstarter.
