The difference is DE cares about its player base and its game. And it shows with the amount of content they add to the game with every update...for free.

for me the difference is that i downloaded it on my day one PS4 warframe and im still playing to this day, destiny i get it on launch day, had to force me to beat it and get to max level my warlock trade it in a month

The author really missed some important aspects of Warframe that puts Destiny to shame:

The classes (i.e. 24 warframes vs 6 in destiny (3 classes each with a sub class). Those frames in Warframe all are unique in certain ways and each has their own abilities and some actually synergize together quite nicely.

Survivability - Each class in Destiny is its own fighter but they all feel the same -> honestly, I don't really live longer being a warlock vs hunter vs titan. They basically all have the same base armor. I would expect the titan to have the best defenses but um, no it doesn't. A titan will die just as easily as the hunter who is supposed to have the weakest defenses. There are several frames in Warframe that can really survive a lot of damage.

Synergies - I really haven't found a synergy with Destiny classes. In warframe, you can cause enemies to fight each other and when one dies they all explode (Nyx + Nova). There are other synergies present in warframe allowing your team to really help each other out.

Weapons - wow are there really some different weapons in warframe vs destiny, too many to list there.

Melee - I am not sure what game the author played, but the Melee combat in Warframe is far greater than Destiny. Warframe has lots of melee weapons to use and they even have different combos. You can even setup warframes to be melee only (i.e. Loki).

Customizations - warframes has cards that you can use the adjust the survivability, power, etc... The cards you can level up but at the cost of the frame's available points. So you can go all out for defense or power or combination. Destiny is far more limited in that aspect.

Now, I will fully agree that Destiny does have a much smoother shooting/movement mechanic, but honestly that is the only thing I can find better in Destiny over Warframe.

BTW - I had over 400 hours in Destiny and who knows how many hours in Warframe(probably close to 1000). So I played both games for a very long time.

Destiny is fun.
