Can't wait to get on train again, love that bit with the shotgun BTW looks nice on ps4

WalterWJR3946d ago

Their using the terrible screen cap which Eurogamer Portugal got a hold of. What is the point in comparing such a poor quality capture.

gatormatt803946d ago

Absolutely abysmal comparison done by Gamingbolt.

ShadowWolf7123946d ago

It's GamingBolt. They've been pretty open about which platform they want to push.

WowSoChill3946d ago

They look almost exactly the same, why couldn't the do a remaster like Gears? instead we get this and they even took away content like the MP

#4TheGamers tho......

Kingthrash3603946d ago (Edited 3946d ago )

So remake 3 games? I mean even though they remastered tlou and now the uncharted series while making a spectacular looking uncharted four...you look at a bad comparison and come to the conclusion that they should have remade it? Lol for the sake of trolling I guess.
Cold part about it is I've seen comparisons of gears and for the most part the remake looks better...but I'm some parts....worse. I'm not saying gears is a bad looking game...I'm a total gears fan...what I'm saying gears is a bad comparison.

skratchy3945d ago

@Wowsochill

You mean that other remaster collection that ALSO isn't out yet? Go away, Xboner.

I see what you did there.

Looks much clearer on the PS4 (even though the video quality is very bad). Some of the textures are much more detailed like the textures on the Helicopter for example. Looks like they changed the style of some textures as well.

I'll probably get the Collection at some point before Uncharted 4 comes out.

GordonKnight3945d ago

Once the price is at $20, I'll purchase it. Before that though I need a bigger HD.

Ratchetlombax3946d ago

Just to clear things up: the PS3 version footage used isn't from the final game. It was recorded during the live demo at E3 2009, hence the small differences in texture color etc.
GamingBolt did an awful job to produce this "comparison" video.

AndrewLB3946d ago

What an amazing difference high resolution and post-processing can make when compared to a really bad quality video capture.

I owned Uncharted 2 on my PS3 and it looks nowhere near that bad.

SuperStatePro3946d ago

Things look much different on a high-resolution pc display or mobile phone than they do on a tv where you sit 6 feet away..

bluebenjamin3945d ago

I had it on ps3 as well its like their purposely made the ps3 version look worse than it really is l, why da fuq would they do that?Ps4 is there powerful console, you don't have to down tweak the ps3 footage, it's just shady on all kinds of levels

Perjoss3945d ago

My favourite part of the whole game is that part where you play as Drake.

Forgot just how good the PS3 version looked, definitely holds up and anyone that maybe doesn't want to spend the money on the hd re-release aren't missing out on anything because ND did such a good job the first time. Having said that, upgrading to the 1080p version on ps4 for new comers to the series is a no brainer, even if it has no MP.

jon_snow3946d ago

There is MP in the form of U4 mp beta and only way to access beta is thru the collection.

@Thegreatgaimer

Don't forget the 60FPS. Oh and they fixed the screen tearing in the first game.

TheGreatGamer3946d ago

Yes you're right, 60fps upgrade is also worth it, the game is so much smoother especially in those high-action cinematic sequences

MoveTheGlow3945d ago

Yes! Dat 60fps! This actually makes me want to buy the collection, and I wasn't that thrilled about Uncharted when 3 came along.

hemmo19863946d ago

While I won't be playing these simply because I got to experience them on PS3 and I'm busy trying to catch up on other games. I highly suggest anyone who didn't get to experience these last gen to definitely give these games a play through.

You won't be disappointed.

Immorals3946d ago

Was the game I was waiting for to get a ps4.

LifeInNZ3946d ago

I actually prefer some of the visual aspects of the PS3 version however, if you're new to the franchise its a must buy on PS4.

Uncharted 2 Is the Most Important PlayStation Exclusive of All Time

In a list of games that defined the PlayStation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would certainly be one of the top contenders. The blockbuster sequel to 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune not only received critical acclaim and became a massive hit for Sony’s third console when it was released 15 years ago on October 13th, 2009, but it also cemented Naughty Dog’s future as a developer of cinematic, story-driven action-adventure games as opposed to its history of colorful platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter from previous PlayStation generations. To this day, Uncharted 2 stands as one of the PS3’s best exclusives and one of the most important PlayStation games of all time.

gold_drake562d ago

it was pretty good. especially the multiplayer

KyRo562d ago

I loved this era on multiplayer games from Sony. People used to call the modes tacked on multiplayer but they were enjoyable. I loved Factions even more. I'm Still gutted that the second one isn't coming out.

-Foxtrot562d ago

Yeah, that one game where it not only has an amazing single player but the multiplayer was also just as good.

A fresh a breath air with it's more "skill focused, less is more" multiplayer in a time during COD fever where every other game with online was trying to be like it.

Shame NaughtyDog eventually did do COD like things with Uncharted 3 and 4, they ruined what made the original so good. It become an over the top arcade fest in the end.

Inverno562d ago

Ironic cause the MP was basically Halo, and Bungie helped on the technical side of things too. MP was more simple back then, I've said this before but I played U2 MP religiously. I sucked at it like you have no idea, but mah gawd did I have so much fun. Can't find an MP game that hooked me like U2s these days. Then Factions came along and while it had its problem I found new religion with it. Agh damn it why did they cancel Factions 2 bruhh.

gold_drake562d ago

i had so much fun too, played almost every night with mates or cousins baha

Relientk77562d ago

It is for sure my favorite game in the series. It's such a blast to play. The train levels still hold up and are fun as hell as well as the entire game.

RaidenBlack562d ago (Edited 562d ago )

Still remember the first gameplay video ... shooting the chasing truck and then the beautiful visuals & details whilst traversing the dilapidated Nepal streets ... perfection
Too bad Sony never ported the trilogy to PC ...

RaiderNation562d ago

I would argue it's God of War.

darthv72562d ago

I'll say, the PS3 really did sequels better than people give it credit for. Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous 2... all were better than their initial offerings and still hold up to this day.

Resistance 3 is such a great game. One of my all time bests.

cooperdnizzle1425d ago

Couldn’t agree more. Still love It as a shooter to this day.

Just something about that game. I really wish they would just do a remaster, don’t even need a remake just bring it up to todays out put, touch up a few things if any, and I am there to buy it day one.

Of course I would love a remake built from the ground up. As long as they treated it like Shadow of the Colossus, or close to those type of remake. Wouldn’t want it to get the RE treatment…. Just because the game is already paced so perfect and hits all the right beats that I wouldn’t touch that aspect.
