this is weird. fans have been begging Resident Evil 2 remake ever since the first RE remake like a decade ago and now all of a sudden because of a facebook post and the reaction it recieved its now confirmed. i'm not complaining though.

If anything to modernize this title use Resident Evil Revelations as a basis. Other then that stay at original as possible. Add an option for what kind of camera angel you like.

I think they should do like Code Veronica. Just make everything 3D but use camera angles like the original games. It will be much easier to do than remaking all the background screenshots. I just hope they go to classic gameplay. In the original games it was all about running and staying alive. I knew things would never be the same when in RE4 you run TOWARDS the enemies to roundhouse kick a group of 10 leaving them on the floor.

I hope it turns out to be great... I love RE2 very much and is the most favorite game to me of RE franchise.

Yess Yess!! This and FF7 remkae!! I can't believe they are doing this. But its stated PC, PS4 and xbox one. But my entire RE collection is on PS3. kind of ahassle for me to be playing the modern RE2 on PS4 then the rest on PS3 with RE0, REremake, RE3 nemesis, RE code veronica, RE4, RE revelations, RE5, RE6 and RE revelations 2.

Definitely keep the tank controls, camera angles, limited saves, and limited ammo. That's what made Resident Evil 2 so atmospheric. You'd hear a sound of breaking glass, yet you can't see around the corner. That with the tank controls make escaping pretty heart pounding.

It needs to be a faithful recreation, but offer options for the less experienced/modern gamers. They do that and I think it'll be well received.

This has made me so happy! Glad the REmake HD spurred the idea, stick to that gameplay style with the alternative control system and we'll have one hell of a game!

Remake this, definitive that, sheesh. When the xbox 2 and PS5 come out, theyre gonna make a Definitive, definitive version. I know a lot of people wanna see that game reproduced in HD, and overhauled , but when are they gonna stop with the remakes, and enhanced versions? I still play RE2 on my Dreamcast, and while its not a visual treat, it is still fun. I don't think all these remakes and definitive editions are necessary.Anyway, done with my rant.

4 story scenarios to complete the game! Please dont remove this cool element. I used to have all 4 memorised like the alphabet and once did all 4 in a row without saving/dying. You actually felt achievement doing shit like that haha

Oh, and under 3 hrs each too!!! :) most games are so soft these days...

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
