all these 'teams' you speak so highly of are mostly the same people with different business cards depending on what day it is...stop acting like Capcom has any honor whatsoever; they're the Eastern equivalent of EA...have been for years...at least Konami had the dignity to basically say 'we really don't care about gaming, at all'...Capcom continues to ask for fan feedback, and then go in dry...

A seemingly older consumer calling out and degrading a 'younger' consumer...only for questioning a product publisher's method of possibly selling a piece of content to someone...twice...in which case the alleged younger consumer feels that the best course of action, from a consumer standpoint, is to TAKE THE RISK AND PUT AS MUCH MONEY INTO THE NEW PRODUCT AND MAKE IT AS GREAT AS POSSIBLE...AND TO STOP WASTING MONEY ON CHEAP RISK FREE REMAKES

Ed, be an adult...there is ZERO argument that dropping all this remake stuff, salary on x number of port teams, and whatever marketing is involved...would somehow hurt the actual development of RE7...yet there is substantial evidence that pooling all those wasted resources into RE7 development...would help...'things' that are being made tend to be better when more money is available during production...

if you're a capcom shareholder, then i get it...of course you don't want them putting all bets on one title, when they could cut its budget down, spread that out to other 'teams', and have some remade safe bets to sleep on...but otherwise, you're blatantly 'not getting it', and are part of the problem with all this remake bs...

RE Zero and RE4 where not made by the same team...

The main RE main team has done the main RE's since RE4 and clearly prior to RE Zero, the RE ports are not done by the main RE teams..

RE Revelations 1 and 2 where not made by the main RE team,

RE Zero and RE 2002 remaster are not being done by the main RE team..

Did you not factor they can and have been doing both?

Look at the dates bud, hell look at the credits lol, they are NOT THE SAME TEAMS! Zero is being done by a team that is not making the next RE, they are not even doing the Revelations series.

Outbreak was done by a different team, not the main RE team, Chronicles the light gun RE on Wii, by a different team, Operation Raccoon City....BY A DIFFERENT TEAM.

Soooo who the hell said do a port or remake or remaster what ever INSTEAD OF A MAIN GAME? Why? They have the teams to do BOTH as they are currently DOING BOTH!

Ports are faster to make then ground up games bud ie MCC collection before Halo 5, Gears Ultimate before Gears 4, God of war III before even IV's reveal, Uncharted collection before Uncharted 4..

They are made FASTER then ground up games. Who again said instead of? They have done both in the past, they can do both right now and they are currently doing both right now as the main RE team has NOT produced work as of yet, those ports are not even being done by the main RE team....

LMFAO! Sure bud, RE6's 600 man team would like to have a word with you. Mind you, with that epic team...RE6 still failed, they STILL MADE ports and Revelations! Soooo I'm not sure just stopping all projects and making some mega team will make it go faster or better.

Also, Assassins Creeds 1000 man team that worked on Unity from 2010 to 2014 would like to have a word with you too. Strange....yet we STILL got AC's from that time? I wonder why? Maybe GEEEE its because they have more then 1 team...

I don't know where you got that it should be either or, game development takes time bud, ports have nothing to do with that. That is like saying for Bluepoint games to work on Uncharted 4 as if that was what they where hired to do LMFAO! It cost about 1 million to do a port....it could cost up to 100 million to do a full game AAA. You sure that 1 million would have JUMPED RE7 to this years release or something?

The issue with remakes has more to do with those that are so slow they are not really aware who even creates them. Capcom can make RE7 and an RE2 remake and likely have both done by 2 different teams that have nothing to do with each other...

Your showing your young age. I've seen marketing cost higher then the cost to port games bud, in the HUGE hundred millions. The cost of RE7's marketing alone is likely higher then the cost of all their RE ports COMBINED! lol

Example. Heavy Rain's marketing cost 32 million...I'm pretty sure Capcom likely spent more on RE6's marketing as they had lots of TV spots.

AC's Wii U ports cost about 1 million or so..

Meaning...that with JUST the marketing cost alone..they could do 32 ports lol. Never mind development cost JUST the marketing cost lol, do you not get how much it really cost to make a game from the ground up?

They are making money from those ports...money that is actually helping fund RE7. 1 million in RE7 is just 1 million.

1 million in RE Zero will be many more millions to put back into RE7, simple business.
