No Man's Sky Gets Yet Another Trailer

No Man's Sky is probably the game with the most trailers and hype surrounding it in this decade at this point with one trailer being released after another and everyone trying to reveal something "new" about the game, yet we end up knowing things we have known since the game was revealed at 2013's VGX award show.

* Can't wait to explore thousands of planets.

Will be naming all of them after my favorite things from childhood and now.

"Hopefully, the game isn’t a disaster once it’s launched like the show it was revealed in. Considering the amount of hype surrounding the game however, I’ll bet anything that plenty of people might end up being disappointed since it doesn’t match up to their expectations."

I'm not gonna say much. All I'm gonna say is that after reading that sentence NOTHING this guy or site ever has to say about this game will interest me. He has an agenda that I couldn't care less about. In fact all he's done is encourage me to add that site to my block list. Journalism at it's worst.

TwoForce3965d ago

"sign" just love mocking people, don't ya ?

Irishguy953965d ago

What? I'm agreeing with him twoforce...

Whatever you see there is you assuming. The author clearly has an agenda I agree.

nX3965d ago

^Well you're infamouson N4G for having an agenda as well so TwoForce's reaction is actually understandable.

Fez3965d ago (Edited 3965d ago )

Tbh this is a fair statement in my eyes.

2013 VGX got very bad press and was the last of it's kind so the first sentence of the statement makes sense.

From there, the rest is just a logical conclusion drawn from a game with lots of hype - "people might end up being disappointed". I would go further and say people *will* end up being disappointed because it clearly will not be to everyone's taste and I think there is still confusion about the actual goals/mechanics of the game.

I've seen reactions like yours all the time and it's laughable. You basically get in early claiming agenda with no evidence and if bad reviews come you can pull this out and act as though there is an overwhelming agenda to destroy the game/Sony (again with no evidence). By your comment it seems like you have no experience with the site (haven't blocked it yet) or writer so how can you claim an agenda based on one article that is pretty cautious in it's wording?
It seems to me that your comment comes from doubts that the game will not meet your own expectations.

Is this an official trailer or one cobbled together from previous stuff and called a trailer?

MeteorPanda3965d ago

has it been asked whether each world is just one environment or houses several ecosystems such as our Earth does?

Seems to not be the case which saddens me a bit, hope it isn't.

Irishguy953965d ago

Eh..I know what you mean but...**** it like? Its not that big a deal imo. Seems like every planet is like a proto planet of some type. Or a moon. They're very small. But again...it doesn't matter much...This is a game. Dont' get your expectations so high brother.

MeteorPanda3965d ago

l know to not put too much hype hope into this, just would seem pretty bland if it's like "oh a pink planet, oh a green one..oh this has cliffs- and nothing else!"

random generation would be amazing but with each planet being permanently on the map i guess that'd be hard to do

Irishguy953965d ago (Edited 3965d ago )

Not really meteor, it just means you'll be going into space to go to other planets rather than sticking to one planet. I actually prefer this way myself. Thats not how it works either btw "Cliffs and nothing else". That just isn't how it works. Look at the vids of it.

I mean what difference does it make to you meteorpanda, if the planet has multiple enviroments on it or if you simply have to take 2 mins to fly to a dif planet? Personally i'm glad I get to fly more.

this might answer your question... it's the newest video from the official coverage of No Man's Sky... it goes over 5 random planets that they went to.. I believe it was the last one they talk about.. it had caves and stuff and talked about how planets can have undiscovered areas and stuff like that.

IGN has all the official coverage straight from the source...

There is another video with Sean Murray that covers 18 minutes of gameplay...

First, planets aren't small in this game they are as big or in some cases bigger than our own. Planets in NMS can support multiple ecosystems like jungles, deserts, and oceans. Please remember that our worlds distance from the sun makes the climate perfect for different types of ecosystems. Not all planets would be like this.

This is all straight from the devs.

I'm super no exited for this game
