Producer Leanne Loombe from Ghost Games talks Gamereactor through what's new in the next entry in the Need for Speed series.
"Fans have been asking for customisation for a really long time, so we're really excited about bringing back really deep customisation, both visual, performance and handling as well."
"The handling is something we're really proud of and really excited, because in this game can both do either grip or drift handling," Loombe added. "So grip is from the more classic Need for Speeds, and Drift is from the more modern Need of Speeds, but in this game you can choose to do whichever one you want, which is great."

The Criterion studio is focused on Battlefield and there are no short-term plans for a new title.
Fans: Need for Speed Underground 1 + 2 Remake
EA: Why no one buy our live service games???
Oh ea... Your ability to destroy everything you touch will never cease to amaze me. I guess Madden is still going but only because the people that play it are not very intelligent. That, or they're masochists that love getting screwed.
What Ea need to do remake PS1 Highstakes or PS2 Hotpursuit 2 or Underground 1 with Cop's

Players who want a similar experience to the Need for Speed games should check out the following racing titles.
Only game I've seen remotely come CLOSE to NFS Underground is JUICE 2 Hot Import Nights PS3
Customization upgrades.

"Need for Speed has always been too ahead of its time." An in-depth development team interview, covering 30 years of NfS.
Out of 30 years Ea Canada made all PS1 versions they were New and Exciting then Blackbox Studio took over all were Fantastic.
Criterion Games took over Every last title is and was Junk including Unbound.
Loving the detail and mods you can do. They just need to drastically tone down that OTT drift mechanic. It literally looks like the cares are trying to change the rotation of the planet the way they go sideways.
Good. Should also bring back Hot Pursuit.
I want a demo. I want to be able to go on Origin and download a freaking 15-20 minute demo so I can actually see how this plays. Need for Speed always looks good to me, and I always end up disappointed when I actually get it.
Isn't it spelled "customization"????? ?
Very exciting to hear. I haven't played a racing game since NFS Underground 2 can't wait to pick this one up
