Dominic Sheard: "Samurai Warriors 4 was a great way to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Koei Tecmo's Japanese Warring States series. Not only was it the best Samurai Warriors game, but it was without a doubt, for me, the greatest entry in the franchise, eclipsing any of its brother's huge list of Dynasty Warriors titles. Samurai Warriors 4 was the developers taking everything they had built before and converting it into a focused game that featured flashy combat, better stories, smoother frame rate, interesting weapons and improved graphics. Not bad for a title that was once the little spin-off to Dynasty Warriors."

Warriors have taken up their swords once more in Tecmo Koei's Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3, as DualShockers takes a look at the series newest installment on PS Vita and 3DS.

"It's far from perfect but Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 is a fun game nonetheless, offering hours of challenging gameplay." - Nintendo Feed

Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 enjoys an extensive character creation and edit mode, which allows for a very deep level of customisation and vast selection of facial features, armour, weapons and accessories. It would also allow players to equip their customised characters with the default costumes of the famous warriors they befriend!
