From GameWatcher: "At this early stage Beyond Sol is already an enjoyable strategy game. There's a decent amount of fun to be had for the price and I can only see it improving with future updates. I would like to see plenty of improvements over the next few months but we are definitely looking at something that could be very satisfying indeed."

From Cinelinx:
There's a deluge of various strategy games on the market right now (which has me all kinds of excited), but it's hard to decipher what's worth picking up and devoting time to. Beyond Sol is interesting in that it's more than a strategy sim and incorporates elements of one-on-one combat action, city building, RTS, and the randomness of procedurally generated maps. No player will likely go through the game in the same way, and perhaps, that's the most exciting aspect of this strategy title.

Baden of WGB: "There are some days when I sit in front of the keyboard preparing to begin typing yet another hideously deformed review and simply cannot think of anything to say in the intro that will segue me into actually talking properly about the game. This is one of those days, and thus I present to you some words; piffle, squiddle, squash, waffle and hornswaggle. Now let’s get on with this review, eh?"
