Rocket League Is 2015's Resogun

Many realized it was fun... several years ago when it came out as Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars (on the PS3 in 2008/9).

As for the game, hopefully they release a fix for the overheating and fans besides "focus directly on the top of the car in the menu". Besides that, it's a fun game so far.

I know, and I wish I did too!

I guess I fell in love with and then got over Defender ages ago, and Resogun feels like a rehash.

I prefer resogun over RL. I played RL and found it kind of boring but that's just me I guess.

Yessir. Housemarque and Psyonix know how to create some really fun mechanics. I know I'm excited for HM's new project and I can't wait to see what Psyonix will have in store for us after creating this awesome title.

Same here dude. I usually stick to single player experiences, yeah I know I sound like a old man haha, but Rocket League has me going out of my way to play it through mulitplayer.

I think games like this are great for the indie market. They can capture people like you (sorry if I sound like I'm generalizing) that don't enjoy indies as much as others in the gaming community and maybe in the future will open you up to more indie titles.

I got a ton from PS+. Most of them I just haven't gotten around to. I have a huge backlog of games. Some of them I like but needs local co-op to really enjoy like Towerfall Ascension and nidhogg and I don't have anyone for that.

Then others I just haven't gotten around to yet like Binding of Isaac and Rogue Legacy.

I played some Valiant Hearts and Strider but just haven't gotten back to them. I'll probably try Child of Light too.

I'm not completely out of it. I'm just an older gamer with limited time and a huge backlog.

Haha I was about to say the same thing. The OHHH moments in the game are awesome. For a game about RC cars playing soccer, it really gets my heart going. Haha.

Oh man! I wish people would take my recommendation on it. I've showed a few of my buddies, but they've all been against giving it a go. They're PS+ members too, so I don't see the harm in giving it a go. :\

Currently playing the game with the wife and we've rock it just completed 2v2 18 game season with 4 teams and won the season 20-0. Might have to move up from rookie. So much fun.

The rookie difficulty is totally messed up. You can more or less score each kick-off and if I had a penny for each time i've seen the AI score an own goal by running with the ball from middlefield.

I suggest upping the difficulty immediately.

Rocket League is fun especially with your friends... That game brings out the competitive nature in you. And that's where the addiction comes... Resogun tho.... That's my crack... A year and a half later and I'm still trying to crack the top 10 in heroes and defender modes. Can't wait for the next dlc mode pack.
