Are the first games on any console to be native 1080p. Blu Dragon uses 3 dvds due to the HD cut scenes. It has over 50 hours of gameplay and is the first Next Gen JRPG on the market. And it looks like a guarenteed AAA must have title. So now the 360 has four 1080p games on the market. WOW. Thanks Microsoft.

Lemme get this straight. So, GT:HD was the first 1080p game, but the 360 guys said "It uses GT4 assets, so it doesn't count." Then they said the PS3 launch titles didn't count because they weren't 'taxing on the hardware' (like they have proof).

PS3 had 1080p titles long before the 360 (we're talking like 15 months prior), but these guys just keep rationalizing and making up excuses. Hell, even Marcus is gloating "Yeah, Lair's 1080p, but it won't be when it's released because I say so!"

I still remember the days when Topgamer said Blu-ray was worthless since not a single 360 game would ever need multiple discs. (stated that MS had some magical compression technique) Of course, now he says the only reason Blue Dragon has multiple discs is due to HD cutscenes, not the actual length of the game (50 hours). Me, I would argue that the game length is what forced the title to be over 30GB (before compression) because there's no information on how much HD video is in the game.

lets try keep on topic this ain't about the ps3 vs x box 360 vs pc or other games for the matter this is about blue dragon. Honestly guys the comments posted here should reflect that. Its starting to get really childish now, why don't we save our 'my console is better' for the console vs console articles. It would be appropriate then its not now. so please give it a rest cause you guys are ruining it for people that wanna know what guys gotta say about this game. Seems like its gonna be a nice addition to list of great jrpg I've played. damn 3 dvds thats a lot of hours of hours of gaming. I'm saving this one for those lonely nights. It may not be enough to save x box in japan buts its a damn good start, good job guys!

With All their money, resources and most importantly studios. Hell they even have Xbox publishing to have another studio to do it. Sometimes these things are hard for MS so they need to start with remasters first.

I don't even know if they're capable of doing that considering he's been talking about these franchises for 10 yrs now.

Regardless we all know it won't happen.

I remember when these games came out. Great games but unfortunately that’s what happened having Microsoft as a publisher. They didn’t meet the sales expectations and Hironobu Sakaguchi said he wasn’t interested in a sequel. That was around 18 years ago. Can’t believe it’s been that long already.

Xbox always been a hard sale in the east. Xbox broke 2.35 million sales in Japan in 20 years by 2022. With over half that being the 360 (1.6+ million).

That being said, “IF” Microsoft did get it to happen, they would benefit greatly if it was launched same day for PS5/PS6 and Nintendo Switch 2.

Lost Odyssey for sure deserves the remastered treatment. Out of everything that has seen a remastered re-release, it's criminal this hasn't been one of them.

So much BS comes out of Phil Spencer. All he ever does is look at past XBox games and make wild promises about them being the future. Phantom Dust, Perfect Dark, Crackdown - how did all those revivals go? Not that he is any better with new games he promotes such as Fable Legends, Scalebound, and Everwild.

He wants to see them revived only to have them canceled during mid-development (i.e. Phantom Dust, Perfect Dark, etc.)

Xbox fans want to see the revival of Xbox.

We've seen how Phil Spencer operates. He's done nothing but fail since 2014, I have no faith in anything he says.

I never got to see Lost Odyssey, and I heard it was a fantastic game. As a lover of that genre, I hope I get to see it released on modern consoles at a fair price, I would definitely give it a shot.

This game was super cheesy. I’ve played a lot of JRPGs but this one took the cake.

I mean, what else can you do when the current platform has nothing to play on it? Look at the backlog
