Samuel Howitt: "Shoot-em-ups (AKA shmups) have found a good home on Steam, with classics such as Ikaruga, and modern greats such as Crimzon Clover. XIIZeal is a port of XII Stag, which was initially available in arcades and on the PS2. But how does it compare to the numerous other games which have already proven themselves."

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:
XIIZEAL is a Vertical Shoot ‘Em Up that has some pretty crazy controls and a lot of fast paced action. I honestly haven’t played one of these since 1942 on the NES unless Resogun on the PS4 counts but that was a horizontal version.
The aim of the game is to shoot anything that comes into sight and not be hit yourself. Available at any point in your arsenal are three different forms of shooting to blow up anything that would do you in first if you left them the chance to do so.

"XIIZEAL is an arcade shoot’em up that was originally released as XII Stag in arcades in the 2002. The game was later on ported to the PlayStation 2 and now finally in 2015 we get to experience this classic on Steam." - Rice Digital

Siliconera: Triangle Service, the developer of the Shooting Love series for Xbox 360 and the Shmups Skill Test, is beginning to port their shoot ‘em ups to PC. Degica worked with the shooter developer to bring XIIZEAL, one of the games in the Shooting Love 10th Anniversary release, to Steam.
