New Marvel vs. Capcom Game on the Way?

While this is in no way direct confirmation that a new Marvel vs. Capcom game is in the works, Kevin Feige, President of Production at Marvel Studios did give fans a ray of hope to cling to before an official announcement is made. When asked if a new Marvel vs. Capcom game is possible someday Feige said, "Yes. And maybe sooner than you think."

But something tells me this will end up being 3D....*sigh*

if they give it the sf4 treatment then i think it would be cool

it better not be freakin 3D. what they are doing to SF4 isnt really that cool IMO, but they pulled it off ok. however i want my damn 2D HD fighters!!!! a new Marvel vs. Capcom game would be so awesome in 2D HD.

anyone else who liked 2D HD crazy fighters check out BlazBlue for PS3. it looks awesome.

with that Tatsunoko vs Capcom i don't think a Marvel vs Capcom 3 its going to come anytime soon... on top of that people from capcom have been saying that since a lot a time in the same way as Inafune have been saying that MM Legends 3 it's coming and were it is?

Sitdown6500d ago

Guess you did not read the article......

Mr Fancy Pants6500d ago (Edited 6500d ago )

and you should read my comment again... i know that my English sucks but i think it is pretty understandable what i wrote.

"When IGN asked if a new Marvel vs. Capcom game is possible someday Feige said, "Yes. And maybe sooner than you think.""

Inafune has been saying the same thing about MM Legends 3. what's the big deal?

Chaos Striker6500d ago

Please make it so...MvC 3 would completely rock!

Megaton6500d ago (Edited 6500d ago )

Well that's a pleasant surprise. I was under the impression that Marvel and Capcom weren't on the best terms.

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
