Lessons Learned from Skyrim's Issues will Help Fallout 4

"Skyrim's ambitious offering of possibilities made it a major success with players and critics, but also created a large number of technical issues across all platforms, particularly on the PlayStation 3. That's why the development team at Bethesda Game Studios have learned from past experiences and carefully refined their process to make the upcoming launch of Fallout 4 as smooth as possible."

That sounds good, but all of Bethesda's games have been buggy going back to Daggerfall. And alot of the same bugs keep showing up in every game (i.e. the corpse jittering in the water). So while I'd like to give Bethesda the benefit of the doubt, their history proves otherwise.

But as Principal Skinner once said "Prove me wrong, kids. Prove me wrong."

While true, you do need to keep in mind that having a massive world that is completely open will have a lot of issues that are impossible to fix without causing 100 more problems and when you add in the fact that people are going to go out of their way to do things they shouldn't be able to, the unpredictability is tripled. You can only test so many possibilities in Q&A.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
