The Lost Pisces Kickstarter Goes Unfunded, Developers Will Continue Work

Nick Calandra writes: "With just over two days left to go, the Kickstarter campaign for The Lost Pisces is going to miss its initial funding goal...by quite a lot.

Sirenum Digital was looking to raise just over $200,000 for The Lost Pisces, a game that used the story of The Little Mermaid for its source material, and was working to tackle some innovative technology in the area of AI systems."

I don't think this game has been confirmed for PS4 yet. Their website still says Xbox One and PC, although I can't imagine why it wouldn't come later to it.

But on topic, woww it looks beautiful!

The Lost Pisces Re-imagined, Restructured and Ready For Action

OnlySP: Last year, the Milwaukee-based game studio Sirenum Digital launched a Kickstarter for their game the Lost Pisces. This re-imagining of the Little Mermaid touted rich imagery in a post-apocalyptic setting. The gameplay featured compatibility with the Kinect for XBox One.

Unfortunately, the Kickstarter failed to reach its ambitious goal of $204,000. In my interview with studio founder Daniel Rutkowski, he described running the Kickstarter campaign as “interesting” and the Kinect compatibility as a “double-edged sword.”

The game looks interesting. Shadow Of The Colossus meets Tower Defense looks like a very neat idea.

Awesome interview.

As always, thanks for reading it!

They launched a crowd funding campaign without any real direction or gameplay.I'm not surprised the team failed to meet their goals on kickstarter.most thought it would be some Kinect based game.

The Lost Pisces is Looking Better Than Ever in These New Screenshots

OnlySP: Following the failure of Sirenum Digital’s Kickstarter campaign for The Lost Pisces, the development team set out to re-imagine the game. The results…well, you can see them for yourself.

I learned about this game recently. Its like a cyberpunk retelling of the original The Little Mermaid story (not the Disney one).

Yup! It's a shame their Kickstarter failed in some ways because they were going to do some really neat stuff with the Kinect in terms of how the AI interacts with players.

Looks awesome! I really hope it gets fully made the way the devs want it to.
