Ahh, so glad they weren't changing the car mods, they were already implemented well. This seems like a cool addition, although not all too much different from the assists in previous games from the sound.

I agree, I think it's a really neat way of shaking things up without dramatically altering anything. It'll be interesting to see how challenging you can make things for yourself!

Nosred3855d ago

Great move of MS, hopefully appears in other games the Xbox ...
And surely will increase the life of games and own console.

JoshHerrera3855d ago

Read the article before you comment please. Not the mods you think.

It's weird, I hate closed course racing games, I'm more into Dirt and Forza Horizon...but there's so much cool stuff about this game I admit I'm actually getting interested.

LifeInNZ3855d ago

I'm the opposite as I love driving the courses I've been seeing on TV for decades. Although, if they were to announce Rallisport Challenge 3 I would so be in!

Ipunchbabiesforfun3855d ago

Honestly man, Forza is the only racer I have ever gotten into and played continuously outside of need for speed most wanted when i was like 12 lol

colemansa3855d ago

I've been a huge fan of Forza since No.2 but they've definitely upped their game this time around - if everything delivers, they'll definitely have made up for Forza 5's sub-par elements.

Ashby_JC3855d ago

F5 was disaapointing...for me at least.

Here is hoping that F6 has everything that was lacking in 6. Car totals and track totals.

I do hope they add real racing series ala project cars.

Not really into racing in make believe races.

With all the great changes should be the best Forza Motorsport yet, roll on sept 15th can't wait.

Ex Turn 10 Employee Says Forza Motorsport Division Closed,Studio to Act as Support for Forza Horizon

Ex-Turn 10 employee reveals that the Forza Motorsport division has been closed, with the studio now focusing on supporting Forza Horizon.

lukasmain196d ago

Hmm would this mean Forza Motorsport series is dead as we know it? Seems that way. On a brighter note, I'm sure Forza Horizon will go from strength to strength

Hypertension140195d ago

"I also feel like Turn 10 and the Forza Motorsport series is on its last legs. The newest game in the series completely killed off most of its fanbase."

I made that comment 419 days ago, I knew this was coming.

PhillyDonJawn195d ago

I wouldn't say all that. I personally feel its been pumped out too much and we dont need another one for awhile. I'd rather than work on a new ip or 2 then return to forza. And considering horizon branch is the one working on Fable if they are making another Horizon they'd need that extra support

GhostScholar194d ago

I think everyone did. Horizon was just a better game and making two racing games just sort of doesn’t make sense even if one is arcade style and one is a sim.

GamerRN195d ago

I think annual or biannual releases are over. The market barely supports annual sports releases anymore

P_Bomb196d ago

Forza Motorsport is dead too? That was an Xbox pillar. Guess it’s Horizon’s race now.

RaidenBlack196d ago

But isn't Turn10 the lead studio? Develops the main Forza engine for Motorsport that Playground uses it for Horizon?

Sonyslave3196d ago

Take this with a grain of salt

maximusprime_195d ago

If true, that makes Gran Turismo the longest running Racing Simulator game on console.

BlackCountryBob195d ago

It already was, there had been 4 mainline Gran Turismo games released, plus the concept / prologue games, before the first Forza was released on Xbox.

VariantAEC192d ago

@RaiderNation
The PSP game launched in 2010. The user you are replying to specified GT games released before the first Forza Motorsport game.

OlderGamer17195d ago

GT i s and was the King of racing sims on conaole ...Forza was and is eating GT's dust from the start....

VariantAEC192d ago

GT is still undisputed in the realm of consumer-level racing simulation software. Not just on consoles but everywhere that ignores specialized sim racing rigs that typically cost over $30k to make.

Killer2020UK195d ago

If false it makes Gran Turismo the longest running Racing Simulator game on console. It came out long before Forza

MajorLazer195d ago

Forza came out in 2005, GT in 1997.

fr0sty195d ago (Edited 195d ago )

Gran Turismo had 4 full games out spanning 2 console generations before the first Forza was released. Gran Turismo 4 was released in 2004, the first Forza came out in 2005.

Bathyj195d ago

It already was.
Forza was a copy of GT.

PhillyDonJawn195d ago

It already was. GT been around long before forza was even thought of

I don’t get why anyone would post anything Xbox positive on this site. Ballsy though.

anast819d ago

You actually get it though, right?

GhostScholar819d ago

I’m not really a sim racing fan so I really don’t know. I love the forza horizon series though so I’m sure I’ll still get hate for saying that lol

anast818d ago (Edited 818d ago )

@ Ghost

I enjoy the console war stuff as entertainment, but, like what you like and make no excuses. Horizon is Xbox's strongest series at the same time I am shocked that Motorsport bombed this hard.

Flawlessmic819d ago

Ohhhh helllll noooo!!!

It's the worst part of the bloody game, actually ruins it a lot!!

IRetrouk819d ago

I need whoever wrote this to choose a new hobby.

CrimsonWing69819d ago

I’ve heard nothing but bad about this game from consumers. It’s weird how the media outlets seem to live the sh*t out of it. I think they maybe don’t have their fingers on the pulse with this one.

I think that's a good idea tbh give it a min.

Flawlessmic947d ago

Or they could do what gt does, content drops monthly with new cars, tracks, races, updates all for free and still working on the next gt at the same time.

Just saying.

XiNatsuDragnel947d ago

Rather new experiences and new IPs than always Forza imo.

Flawlessmic947d ago

Um did you read the article lol

There no gonna work on new games they are gonna make forza live service and just update the same game for who knows how long rather than giving a proper new version every couple of yrs.

KingKionic 947d ago

Turn10 have a plan to support Forza Motorsport for 10 years. Makes sense and them announcing
that the new career mode has service features built in directly to put tracks and cars in which line up with there vision.

Inverno947d ago

Yeah sure, so many devs keep promising these "service" like games that they can't commit to. Let's see how long they can hold peoples attention before they scrap this idea and just release another numbered game.

DaniMacYo947d ago

Live service LMAO. Like that’s ever been a great idea. Not a single game out there with a live service that’s lived up to it’s original promise. Live service is just an excuse for devs to drip feed content, scrap it after two years and say we are working on the next entry. But hey, it’s all free content so why you complaining lol.

moomoo319946d ago

Nah there are successful live service games that people enjoy. Deep rock galactic. FFIV. Rocket League. Etc.. its just when they take beloved single player games and convert them to nickle and dime bullshlaka fests.
